 Yeah, but sometimes - just sometimes - don't you just love being drenched in the rain? I do, and once, when I was caught in, and saturated by, a very heavy surprise Summer downpour in a local park, I've even replicated Gene Kelly's iconic 'Singing In The Rain' number, complete with singing and dancing and splashing along a gutter in the road - much to the amusement of lots of old biddies who were trying to shelter under some trees. I even got a round of applause.
Life is good - because YOU are alive. The alternative is far worse.

You really are more like me than you may think LT. I have usually got my 'chores' out of the way before the day proper even begins. I guess it may be a 'generation' thing.

I'm no 'spring chicken' - numberwise  but I have always, and still do have the crack with old biddies - - they're mint and always respond to teasing or joking with laughter.
This is what 'young' people forget - old people are just young people who have aged. They may look 'grey and miserable' a lot of the time (usually because of what shet they've been through whilst growing old) but engage with them, and you'll see the jokers and comedians buried under those wrinkled faces, and you'll also see the unvoiced gratitude that 'someone' is treating them as if they were still alive.

I love the elderly. I always converse with them at bus stops and smile at them when they walk past. I love hearing their stories about how things were like before I was born, and they seem so happy to talk about it like they can go on forever.

I don't know about loving the elderly (they love spreading germs too much for my liking) they're like children in that aspect, but I do try to get on with anybody that isn't a dickhead tbh, I like to chatter on for ages about mundane crap so if an elderly person has that in common with me then I'll be friends with them, even if they're gonna give me every disgusting illness known to mankind.
