the status quo is that we are in europe, its going to be very difficult for an out campaign to fight against that. They don't seem to have gotten off to a very good start by having 2 No campaigns ... its so crazy .. I couldn't have thought that one up :joker: How long will it be till they are arguing against each other

so I got 40 seconds in and

1. I dont want people who work or own companies telling me what to do, I would rather hear what they say when they are not getting paid and simply talking about their profits.

2. zzzzzzz leave europe and it could be bad for business :worry:

3. there seems to be some assumption by the wooden biz people that if we left the EU we then cant trade with europe?

Rather dismissive view points you have there, thats not going to encourage an Out vote. Its up to the out campaigns to re-assure the voters that they will be better off out of europe, and it will need to be done using more compelling arguments than thinly veiled racism

I still consider this referendum a waste of time but potentially dangerous too for the UK, a panic knee jerk reaction by David Cameron as to the rise of UKIP.

I made my mind up at 15 that I felt we were better off in the EU and nothing has changed my mind.

I doubt, even if I was undecided that I would learn anything really helpful from the media, this govt or either of the campaigns to keep us in or suggest we leave.

The real information needed to make an informed and best decision for the UK will not be given to voters.
Mind you, Karen Brady will be in my view a massive turn off for the in campaign.

:joker: Ooh I dare very easily, I will never be a little Englander and seek to isolate the UK.

Neither do I see the EU as a mess, it needs reform absolutely, from all members within it however not whining on and picking up our ball up and running off pathetically, under the delusion we are still a really great power and need no one.

I hope we get a very strong yes vote.

Why do people have this impression that we won't be able to trade with European country's if we're not in the EU?Do people honestly think that BMW and Volkwagen will want to stop selling us their cars if we leave?Of course not. They NEED our trade.Life will carry on as it is except we will be trading with non EU countries too and we will save ourselves £55 million PER DAY of tax money which can be put to something actually useful.
We will have control of our borders,Our laws,Our courts,Our military etc....
Our decisions will be democratic rather than being made by an UNELECTED EU commision.

It'll just be the usual scaremongering I don't think they bother with any actual genuine information.

Will we... Many moan about Eastern Europeans freedom of movement, how would some feel with freedom of trade and movement with the rest of the world?I think it's more about the numbers. We could take people in from those countries that really need it.More refugees and people from really poor countries but we could actually control how many we take in.We would more than likely take in more people who really need our help.Eastern Europe although it is a poorer part of the world than Western Europe there are countries in a much much worse state.

Norway isn't in the EU but they trade with Europe with exports to the tune of about 100 billion Euros a year. The assumption that we wouldn't trade with the EU if we were not part of it is ridiculous. In any case, we already do more trade with non-European countries.

who gains being in the eu, the rich do, for the working man on poor pay, nothing but working till you drop, the eu is nothing but a giant corporation union, that drives down wages, put's people out of jobs, and you are a servant in your own land, the eu is useless to us because they demand money all the time, what have they done for people who are on food banks, nothing, what about the homeless, nothing, the eu is a rich mans world, most of are things, are made in china, and that makes the rich richer, becuse it is cheaper.

Okay. I hope that they can.

After all, a decision to leave the EU will affect a 16 year old more than it would someone who is 70.

wow, this coming from someone apparently so concerned about equality and rights of groups. Should 70 year old's just be killed off then as they are not as important as a 16 year old?

ask your Dad

My Dad is solidly pro the EU,he is livid with David Cameron for creating this uncertainty and wasting millions on a referendum, just as I am.
Just to try to appease UKIP.

I think only 5 of my whole family would consider voting to leave, everyone else is solid yes to staying in.

joeysteele

Also is it known yet whether or not 16 year olds can vote in this referendum??

The Conservative party, well the top level of it in govt, don't want 16 year olds to have a vote. Some of their MPs do but will not dare support the move.
All other parties do, even UKIP I think.

I feel sure Labour and the SNP will be doing their best to try to force this on this govt.

No way should 16 year olds be excluded, this is a vital decision for the future of the UK and really for me, by the time this referendum is actually going to be held, anyone who would be eligible to vote in the 2020 election, should be granted the right to vote on this long term decision as to theirs and the UKs future.

Furthermore if this govt fails to grant 16 year olds the vote in this and the vote is to leave the EU, that will be a total disgrace.
