The game is going to be a multiplayer game in which one player will be playing as Jason and the other players will be the Councillors. If the councillors can survive then they'll win but if Jason kills them all the player controlling him will win instead. Sounds like it could be fun.

I had a look at their Facebook page and the game seems to still be being developed, on a kickstarter sort of basis? They're adding new features to the game with every milestone reached. Think "single player mode" was one of the future plans if they can raise enough.

There's a PC Beta going on at the moment. It looks quite fun but rather buggy at the moment. I think it'll be quite good on release though.

I played Beta on my cousins computer and the game is so much fun! Probably better than I expected tbf

It's got a really creepy feel to it first of all, the music in perticular is amazingly done and really puts you into a sense of panic, as Jason moves close to your location the FT13th theme (che che che ha ha ha ha) will play to warn you and if you don't think quick it's literally so scary having Jason run at you. I do think (and hope) a few changes are needed though for it to be as good as possible - Survivor stamina is very poor, I understand if you're running for a while you get tired but here you lose stamina so quick, it's not very realistic that you decide to walk as you are chased by Jason who just crushed another players skull in front of you - and if you stumble it takes all your stamina away, that's a problem if you find yourself running in wooded area and unfair as Jason has no problem keeping up if you can't sprint.

I hope there is a system to personalize survivors too, you find a lot of people using the same 2 characters - Vanessa because of her stamina and speed and Kenny because he's a good all rounder (5/10 on each skill) and it gets a bit boring seeing the same over and over - adding new skins would keep it fresh imo.

Playing Jason is a ton of fun! I only played as him once and I killed the whole survivor team and Tommy Jarvis :flutter: they kind of make it too easy with some abilities like being able to transport yourself ahead of players (although you can distract this ability by using firecrackers and flare guns as survivors)

I'm hoping those few things are tweaked but all in all its great entertainment.

Pumped for this, I paid for digital, the Tom Savini Jason skin and DLC outfits for the counsellors.

I just downloaded it on the PS4 and played a game just fine. I expected to be greeted with a servers down screen tbh but it loaded up and let me join a game almost instantly.

I like it, it's got some big flaws like there's no tutorial or anything and the controls can be a little bit fiddly in the first few minutes. The framerate is a bit jittery at times too but it's not too bad. It's a surprisingly tense game though, there's nothing quite like being holed up in a cabin alone and hearing the Jason theme pipe up from outside.

Playing it for a little while now, seems the server is down I keep getting connection lost messages :(

My biggest win so far has been playing as AJ the goth and I am the last person alive with no cops called, no car parts so i hole up and the 2 minute warning pops - bear trap him first and run, flare gun him and run and finally he chokes me so i stab him with a penknife and as I start to run the screen says I survived.

So ****ing tense!

I try and help with calling the cops and then the car but if it's a no no I find a space with 3 cabins close by, camp in one and set bear traps at the door(s) and stay quiet until he comes and run from cabin to cabin. Can be risky if they break windows but it's only failed me once so far.

It's kinda a messy game, there's some hilarious glitches but it is good fun although the servers have been down a lot today.

I'd advise anyone looking to get it for the PS4 to hold off for a day or two. The servers seem to be up but the latest patch has disabled voice chat which is pretty vital if you actually want to survive.

On the plus side i had my first Jason game and it was hilariously easy because no one could talk :clap1:

It's getting quite irksome though, the game has it's flaws but it's legitimately entertaining to play and it's addictive as hell but the server issues and the mic issue are getting on my tits.

I'd say mics are pretty important in this game, there's no other way of telling other players any important information otherwise.

It's playable without, if I get in a lobby with nobody with a mic it's just not as co-op.

For instance today I found the fuse to fix the phones, Jason showed up so I dropped it on the floor for anyone to use while he chased me. If the others had have had a mic i could hace told them while I was hiding half way up the map. As it stood I had to walk back and do all the work.

It's good for fixing cars too, ive picked people up because theyve asked or screamed at them to get in and vica versa lol

Also if you don't come across a map and the cops come you could try leaving the wrong way :worry:

I've been using AJ tbh but I survived my first game as Vanessa.

I've just been really unlucky tbh, I nearly always get placed in some desolate spot miles away from everyone but Jason. Tiffany looks like a fierce bitch tbh :clap1:

I am level 101 if none of my friends are playing I just go look for car parts and dump them by cars and then head to Jason's shack to steal his mums sweater so he warps to me and then run him away from the other councellors so they can get the cars going.

I play as Tiffany, or AJ if the other players are low repair skill too.

My Tiffany is beast mode though, until Jason reaches rage she is invisible to his senses. I have homebody and fear epic perks stacked and an epic marathon perk that pretty much gets me half way across the map before I have to rest.

If you guys stack Chad with heavy hitter, swift attacker and the one that you spawn with a bat you are 9 times out of 10 gonna stun him it's caused me a few rage quits though when I kept doing it over and over again

Since they've announced the Paranoia Game Mode, I assume that the new game mode that was meant to arrive after Christmas will likely release in place of the 'single player demo'.

If the rest remains the same then we'll likely get two new councillors (Fox and Mitch were meant to be released at the same time but Fox had some bugs so they delayed her) and a new map before Christmas.

There should be way more customisable content for councellors. All of the items are the same just recoloured so not sure why there isn't more.

I wish you could mix up your clothing too, like say put a bikini top on Tiffany and her shorts rather than the thong. Even maybe picking the colour of the streaks in AJ's hair.

If you stick the perks to break free from Jason quicker and energy boost after breaking free though she can be a nightmare for Jason. I think Jenny is underpowered though. She is meant to be the final girl type but she isn't very smart wheras the final girls in the F13 movies are pretty smart

i played some before Crash Bandicoot and i fixed the boat myself and 2 people were following me one got on but the other one couldn't get on for some reason so i left him and he went mad. I didn't fix that boat just to wait to be killed.

Ugh don't, I hate having watch them until they either escape or just muck around, so annoying. I would play but got no gloves left :(.

Stalk is great when you hear someone is fixing something, stick on stalk and morph in and they get no warning you are near and while they are concerned with putting the gas in you can double axe them and injure them before they can run away. I use it a lot later in the game aswell. When a house glows red, If it is a big house with 2 exits I smash the windows and single door and set a trap by it, then stalk and shift inside the house. Most people panic and run for the door and get stuck in the trap

A tip for playing as a councellor I use all the time is setting bear traps outside doors instead of inside, Jason cant bash down doors without standing in it wheras if you place it inside he can bash the door and shift past it and it could be your only escape :worry:

I used stalk for the first time, you know that house where you can enter from the basement, well i entered in there with stalk on and and got up the stairs and saw someone locking the door and he has no idea i was behind him until he turned around. I managed to kill them all and stop the car everytime which i sucked at before

as Deborah, this Jason player was good and killed everyone and i managed to be the only one to escape and he was sooo close to grabbing me.

Has anyone played the offline bots? they're horrific but in a funny way, I was playing a few games and they get stuck on objects loads and a few times I grabbed them and they had knives and after using them they just stand still waiting for me to recover. I was in a game earlier and a group were teaming and put the car battery in Jason's shack and then a match after the battery and boat propeller in there.

Luckily it was 4 vs 3 as 4 of us knew each other so next round a friend was Jason so he let us fix the blue car and then another drove toward the three of them beeping the horn, as they all ran towards the car he ran all three over and got out of the car and teabagged them all it was so funny and then we led Jason to the one who came back as Tommy and all danced on his dead body as the three of them rage quit.

They need to bring back team killing so you can kill the people helping Jason or introduce a kick vote system. I play with 6 people regularly and we never cheat or help Jason if one of us get picked.

Salt Mines is a fantastic idea!!

Salty players who leave in the middle of the game, while being killed,as jason or in the middle of the game as a host will be in put in the salt mines and won't be able to play with other players who aren't in there only the ones in the salt mines. (they won't be in there forever) this video explains it better

I understand it in private matches but not quick play, if working with Jason is a game mechanic then so is tactically injurying another player or even killing the teamer so they should reinstate team killing.

Paranoia isn't even being worked on sadly. They put it on the back burner until further notice to work on the update tomorrow and dedicated servers to stop quitters destroying the game. Hopefully the salt mines will work out.
