I got conned last night. I was in a brothel and I new the rates and everything was clear. and on finishing I was charged double what I payed last week. I called the manager and she explained if I went in at 1am and it is now 3am can not remember exact times but in early hours. I have to pay for 2 hours of satisfaction. I tried to explain about the clocks changing and she told me to take my clock elsewhere. I am never going back there again. infarct I am going to do a poem to condemn this brothel and I am going to name and shame it and get the government to look into it for me. and it just so happens while in there I met 3 top MP's so I am even well connected even if they payed me 10G not to involve them I am going to do what my heart says and fight on there behalf.

Got less than usual. Neighbours started blasting out music at 2.30am (3.30am unadjusted) which was going to wake the kids and I went round, knocked the door twice, they couldn't hear it, so I hammered on it and told them to turn the ****ing music off. It's not the first time we've had to ask, but this time it ended up with me getting shoved against the guy's car, threatened with "getting my head knocked off", with their two massive Rottweilers behind him, while his wife drunkenly / slurringly screamed at my wife over the fence to "stop using our autistic daughter as an excuse". Managed to talk the stupid **** down but I'm still ****ing raging, would love to see him try something like that without the ****ing dogs, but he wouldn't of course. Ehhhhhh.
Wife now wants to get the police involved but I just cannot be arsed. I'm not intimidated by them. Just smart enough not to knock a guy's teeth in on his own property with two large dogs watching.

So it didn't wake the kids?... Challenging people when they are drunk is never wise TS :/

They've woken the kids in the past on several occasions, and it's not even as simple as that. My youngest is autistic and if she wakes, she won't go back to sleep, and that resulting exhaustion can set back her development by weeks. She "disappears" into herself and becomes completely blank. We're also not talking about a little bit of music... I'm talking trance music so loud that the bedroom wall (semi detatched) was actually shaking. At 3.30am.I didn't really have a choice other than to go around or call the police directly (and their response time is a joke). I'm also not intimidated by drunk chavs :/.

Would serve them right if you got up nice and early and took the kids out for the day..leaving your very loud music on a loop , by mistake of course.
Wake the ignorant twits up and see how they like it.

I've got considered it, but then I read about "music wars" online and it seemed like a bad plan. Basically people going out and buying bigger and bigger sound systems in response to each other :joker:.

Defending yourself against the "pack leader" of two large dogs, on their territory, would be a very very bad idea.

What do you do in that situation though Kizzy? Sit in the bedroom, unable to sleep because of the music, hugging your knees and hoping it'll stop? And then spend the next week dealing with a stressed / distressed / exhausted 3 year old and potentially months trying to sort the damage done by the inevitable communication regression? Sort of caught between a rock and a hard place. A much harder place, actually.
Meh. I just hate feeling powerless I think. 5 years ago I'd have put him through the damn car even if it meant getting mauled. I sort of hate having "responsibilities" :joker:.

Leave it to the police, now she's woken up and has a very stressed daddy and upset mummy too.
Made no difference to me, in fact feel more shattered than usual as although I try and get a lie in on a Sunday, had to be up early this Sunday for an Amazon parcel delivery.

..I think what you have to think though TS is what if you weren't there for the next weeks and months for her because you and your wife are both key in bringing her back from her 'regression' if that were to happen..?...that's what's most important to her, that she has you two/both of you..that's her 'stability', which with her diagnosis and without that she really would feel lost wouldn't she..?..I'm not surprised it made you angry but with your daughter, there sadly will always be things that will 'rock her' and you can't always protect her from that because you don't have that control completely over her environment, as in what happened...the main thing is protecting yourself for her..not taking any reckless risks ...
..I also don't think that trying to talk to your neighbours when they've been drinking is the best idea either....they're not really going to be open to what you have to say plus yeah..aggressive...you should try to talk to them the next day...(not too early..)...and if there is no reasoning to be had with them, then speak to the police or the council and maybe look at getting a nuisance order or something..?...for your daughter..?...would she wear anything like ear muffs to sleep do you think, which would help a bit with the noise...
..so yeah, think of her by keeping yourself safe for her....(you looney..)...
..anyway, we'll expect you might be a bit grumpy on the forum for the next while because of your lack of sleep....oh wait...

This makes my blood boil T.S. - There are not many things worse than ignorant scumbags, but ignorant scumbags who live next door are one of them. I know exactly what you mean about not engaging on his property with dogs present because I have a saying; "Never fight a war unless YOU have the castle around you", but I genuinely wish that I lived near you because I would have brought a baseball bat along with me as I 'came to observe'.
