Turnips are the proper veg to use,the Americans started to use pumpkins as they were easier to carve,so a turnip would make a true Halloween statement.

it was also on TV News.
More Stock has now arrived
But to be fair to the Daily Star
on that day, and a Day after
All TV News were "showing"
stock gone.
"Of course none was in Scotland"

We roast the seeds and also make pies with the innards so TAKE THAT
i would have been surprised if Josy had managed to empty the shelves of every shop in the UK of pumpkins :joker:

Why do people buy them so early? Seen loads of people buying them with their kids these past few days. Come Saturday your pumpkins will be rotten. Buy it a day or two before Halloween you fools!

People are getting and keeping them before they run out and not carving them yet, so they wont rot yet?
