The Bad Santa sequel is finally happening, and Billy Bob Thornton is returning to star...
We’d pretty much written this one off. We’ve been writing about a Bad Santa sequel possibly happening for seemingly as long as we’ve been doing this site. But finally, Billy Bob Thornton has confirmed that a follow-up to his 2003 comedy hit is happening.
Billy Bob Thornton is reprising the title role in the movie, that Miramax and Broad Green Pictures are putting money behind. We don’t have confirmation yet of who’s going to direct, but we do know that the plan is now to get the film in front of cameras in January, for a release next Christmas.
Fingers crossed that after all this time, it comes out better than other recent belated sequels such as Dumb And Dumber To and Anchorman: The Legend Continues.
As we hear more on the film, we’ll keep you posted…
