You had
bb1: first shot at the show/pure reality tv
bb2: same formula
bb3: peak in ratings/housemates
bb4: boring/drop in ratings
bb5: overcompensating for boring series/contrived

Then
bb12: first shot at show/not manipulated
bb13: getting better
bb14: peak in ratings/housemates
bb15: boring/drop in ratings
bb16: overcompensating for last series/contrived

The comparison is striking!

Oh I agree, at least the first 4 weeks of bb15 were somewhat enjoyable. bb16 was just getting slightly entertaining before the 4in/4out.
