Cause she's clearly half asian (I looked it up and she's half Malaysian) and I tend to support half asian contestants as they're rarely featured on reality tv as it's a harder ethnic background to label in simple tv categorization. Being half asian myself I can relate to people of such backgrounds.

Doesn't mean i'd like her for sure, just that it'd be likely.

Thing is I wouldn't like someone because they're asian. E.g. Dexter is my least favorite male of all time and he's asian. It's more that i've found I can relate with the asian housemates in there, maybe because of cultural background and the way i've been raised etc.

And in regards to reality tv and representation, i'm a liberal activist and as I see Big Brother as a microcosm of life, I like to see social structures regarding age, sexuality, race and gender be taken down within the confines of the show as well, if that makes sense.

You should have read what his reasons are tbh :laugh: he gave a great reason and he may find them more likeable.. not all entertaining people are likeable :laugh: A housemate needs likeability as well as entertainment(most of it is forced anyway) Asians are good housemates anyway who are treated unfairly

And I thank God that's as far as she got. I'd have been so disappointed with her as the winner. She's just one of many BB housemates who I personally didn't find all that endearing but who seems to be adored.

She wasn't terrible though, in hindsight I don't dislike her (though I did at times during the series), and she's a saint compared to some of the horrors we've had. But yeah, I never got on board with the Tahan support.

Meh I don't wanna start another big ass debate but the only reason the majority of my faves are black females is because I find the "sassy/funny/argumentative" character entertaining, and TV producers always cast stereotypical black girls who fulfill that role.

When it comes to relating to other housemates/contestants, then yeah, I find it easier to relate to black/mixed people for obvious reasons but doesn't mean I will favour them because of that alone. They have to be entrtaining for me to like them.

And Like Hayden said I don't see how it was insulting as A-Levels are a prestigious qualification and require skill and intelligence. If I was comparing your post to an A-Level standard (which I was not) I'd take it as a compliment, I don't see why or how it's insulting someone's intelligence.
