When do you put up your Christmas tree and decorations? If you have them that is.
I prefer to leave it to about a week before, don't see the point any earlier  And I take them down again around New Year.

At home my Mum always insists on a real tree but only puts it up on Christmas Eve,everyone who come for christmas arrives on Christmas eve and all assist in putting something on it,with my Mum finishing it off later in the day.
Decorations are usually up around the 12th December.
I love the smell from a real tree
Where I live myself however and have since going to Uni, mine will be up 1st December, decorations too, and there all will stay too until January 6th.

I don't bother lol because I spend christmas at my parents house so I don't see the point decorating my flat when I'm not even there for it. (I'm not anti christmas - just lazy :hee:)

The day after Thanksgiving is the proper day i think, aka Black Friday. That is the proper time to put up lights and the tree.

That's modern (American) Tradition, classic tradition is 12 days before and take down 12 days after.
Although theres not a chance in hell I'm waiting any longer than the 1st of December tbh

Ist December if not sooner. I can't wait to get those decorations up. It makes me feel good, also it's a good excuse not to have to dust until the New Year.
