I feel sorry for him, he has a right to privacy when it comes to his health just like anyone else and he's probably had to get in front of this because the media would have gone ahead with the story.

In fairness, it's not really the same as saying that. He worded it harshly but I do get where he was coming from, Charlie Sheen is known to have lived a pretty hedonistic lifestyle with apparently little regard for his health and (if the HIV story is indeed about him), that's one of the possible consequences of such a lifestyle.

That said, I don't wish it upon anyone.

I do feel bad that he's had to reveal this because of the press, but other than that I dont care. Its so well known that if you sleep around without protection, you are very likely to get an STD, never mind HIV. I hope he uses this to raise awareness and doesnt act like such a 'player' from now on.

If the actor or celeb is ill , then privacy a must, but if you are having unsafe sex whilst knowingly having and STD (STI sounds too innocuous imo) then this has to be revealed - either you come out or should be outed within a set period eg 2 weeks.

SORRY but not when he has infected people after knowing diagnosis. He has slept with numerous sex workers, wannabe actors, models, porn stars etc. They are priority not the actor.

As promiscuous as he might be, how does anyone know he didn't/doesn't wear protection, and that he could have contracted the HIV virus some other way? And if that indeed be the case then he should have been given his privacy on this or am I missing something here? If however, there is a risk of his having infected others whilst knowing he had the virus, then it does need bringing to the fore.
