I agree, Muslims and Everyone else standing together is what will really hurt ISIS

I was speaking to a friend of mine who's from Montenegro, and he was saying that he's had some abuse from people (he's a taxi driver), it makes me so mad because he's such a great guy and wouldn't hurt a fly, yet some people think it's ok to verbally abuse him, we do all need to stand together, and show ISIS that we are a multi cultural society and proud to be!

If they are so worried about being crushed then why admit to this and risk the wrath of the western world?
Are we playing into their hands?

Instead of turning against eachother, we all need to come together and show ISIS that they haven't won.
I don't agree with him tbh. IS is very powerful and even though none of our politicians like to call it a state it is one by all intents and purposes and its a state thats more powerful than half the members of the UN. He says 'they'd quickly be crushed if they ever faced a proper enemy on a real battlefield', are the Kurds not a proper enemy? Are the Syrian army? There have been real battles against real enemies across a lot of the Middle East, they've lost some but they've also won a hell of a lot. They've been bombed for months and it hasn't stopped them expanding. There have been signs of progress but only really very recently now that strikes have been stepped up and the Russians have become involved.
He makes a lot of good points about how we should react to terror attacks but its also dangerous to underestimate their threat imo

Great point that ISIs want the world to hate all Muslims and not just confine their hatred to these fundamentalists. We can see signs of that in the Scotland attack and also with some members on this forum.

Yes but it was also good to know that that SDL protest in Scotland against the refugees had such a low turnout and was out numbered too by pro refugee groups
Thanks for sharing this Niamh. :)

I read somewhere (but forgot where) that the only thing ISIS is scared of is unity

ISIS want it to be a war between the West and them, so all the people blaming Muslims and wanting them out of the country are really playing into their hands. The best thing we can do is to show unity

I fear for this man, because he will have to look under his car every morning, and even wear a bullet proof vest, for his brave words,
