Bottles are ok out of the fridge but plastic must be in a fridge for hygiene

Putting it in the fridge keeps it fresh. I put pretty much everything in the fridge, fruit, chocolate, biscuits...

It's in a plastic bottle so we keep it in the fridge, that's what it advises on the label anyway. :)

also at room temperature nasty things from the plastics go into the sauce

All sauces, Mayo, salad cream, mustard and pickles are kept in the fridge after they are opened in this house.
Same as we did in the kitchens.

This is just another case of health and safety gone mad. Like tins with sell by dates on when we all know tins of food last practically for ever. As long as sauces are kept in a cool environment they will be fine, if you have six rads in your kitchen or an Aga you might have to rethink that. Larders are making a come back as a lot of food that ends up in the fridge has no business in there..eggs, tomatoes, potatoes, ketchup .....
