View Full Version : Racism in BBC Report?

In a BBC Report, aired at 13:01, on belgium's security threats they just showed pictures of two of the french terrorists, then soldiers, then random arabic-looking people and hijabi women who happen to be walking around the belgium high streets (some with shopping in hands, clearly doing no harm).
The last part strikes me as especially racist and quite biased actually, why are they being filmed as if they have links to the story? Like.. I would understand if they were showing normal people minding their own business, but there were no white belgian people either, only arabic-looking men and hijabi women as I mentioned beforehand. Shocking and disgraceful for a news station in 2015 to do this.
I only hope this was poor reporting on their part, and nothing malicious, because it sure did come across as pretty racist.

Were they talking about the rising attacks on innocent Muslim people who are being blamed? If so then it makes sense to show innocent Muslim people.

I can't find the video clip for you, but I don't remember that being a part of the report.

Is it possible that they were just filming people going about their business as news reports often do. And that they didn't want to wait for a 'normal' person to come into the shot as that would be quite racist also?
I do feel sometimes people look a bit hard for isms. I seriously doubt the BBC were being racist, especially given how much they have been talking about how Muslims and such shouldn't be blamed for the recent atrocities

I was just about to say this. It would be expected that they'd give a shot from within Belgium, so filming a street or something. It might just be that it so happens there weren't any white people there at the time they filmed. I've not seen it, but that's what I'd guess happened.

I don't think they are racist as a whole, but the inclusion of random muslims and no other random people in Belgium surprised me. You could see quite a few white people in the background yet they were not filmed close-up like the others were.
I'm not sure where to find this report, but it might be clearer if you guys saw it?

Probably
At the moment I am thinking that maybe the Muslim women were most likely closer to the camera that was filming, and its a bit of something about nothing. As you say it may be different if I actually see the report though :p

well all of the terrorists were muslims, right?
if they were doing a story about high school shooting, it would make sense to show pictures of young geeky looking white boys dressed in all black.

They probably meant no malice in it, but the BBC should be careful in future just in case it ends up insighting fights.

how is that relevant? this seems like something you should be sending in Private message ammi...
we all get the jist of what he's saying...
i don't think anyone is disputing that BBC often shows random images of muslims when they do stories on muslim terrorism, we've all seen them do it...
the issue isn't whether they do it, the issue is whether they should be doing it.

Absolute rubbish
The BBC is amongst the fairest broadcasters in the world

...it's completely relevant to a thread about apparent racism being shown in a BBC report that hasn't been posted in the thread...so how can comment be made..?..I would say that the report..(if it is the one that Josh means..)..is the first relevance and importance...

the bbc are the most marxist NWO left wing station on tv, they know how to manipulate the public, and are up to there necks in devious ways to show how life is.
Racism my arse. Expect they were filming Molenbeek because a lot of extremists have originated from there and it has a high Muslim population so they were likely to have been in the shot

I don't know about you but I'd probably give that prestigious title to The Stalin Channel

Arab/Muslim isn't a race.
this is true, there no such thing as race...but we all know how to recognize them usually...
just like all the guys that seem gay at first, and might experience homophobic abuse aren't necessarily gay. actually most kids in school that get called F@**ot aren't actually gay.
