If it's TL: DR for you, its basically a petition to stop animal abusers from ever being allowed a pet again, rather than a 5 year ban.

Some guy i follow on twitter has been tweeting about this all day. The 4 kids who did it have had their identities/facebooks revealed so fingers crossed they won't be getting away with it.

How anyone can harm small and innocent animals is beyond me.. just unimaginable how someone could show so little humanity.

I also believe that people who are caught abusing animals should have to undergo a personality assessment. The sadistic pleasure they get from harming an innocent creature is nearly always a power thing and often the first signs of a psychopath.

It's had over 5,000 signatures in the last hour so I'm sure by the end of the night it will have reached its target (which has changed from 15,000 to 25,000 over the last few minutes)

no worries! It's actually the first petition I've ever signed. We need harsher punishments for animal cruelty.

Definitely. A dog can nip someone out of instinct and be immediately put down while a human can torture an animal horribly and get essentially a slap on the wrist, it's nonsensical.

"Beaten, drugged, his neck was broken, he was started on fire and finally dumped and left for dead. However, Chunky survived."

If someone doesn't rename him "Wolverine", then a once in a lifetime opportunity has been missed.

Signed. It's ridiculous a petition is even needed to stop somebody who's abused an animal from owning them ever again. It should of been made a law long ago.

Daaaamn, way over 10,000 signatures since I posted this. I've had emails saying that 10 friends of mine on FB have signed the petition because I shared it... Every little helps right?

well you don't see many people picking on animals that are much larger and stronger than they are. (other than texas dentists)
