View Full Version : Lady C did she cross a line tonight?

I have said already that I love Lady C even though at times I think she is acting but tonight I felt she crossed the line. Her insults to Tony were too blatant and over the top and obviously she was spouting vile language as the bleep machine was in overdrive. I don't like Tony he would be towards the bottom of my list but I feel that it WAS cruel to throw the beetle on the fire when he could have been just put elsewhere but even if that wasn't the issue she went into an over the top rant and frankly I think she didn't do herself any favours. Anyone else agree?

Yes I totally agree, she was cruel ,not just with the beetle but verbally too, I felt sorry for Tony she got personal and needlessly went on about him, Can't stand her now.

Yes, she was vile as always but even more so tonight than usual, it was cruel to throw the beetle on the fire for no reason and the way she launched into that tirade against Tony purely for disagreeing with her about it was digsusting, she needs to **** off back to her castle.

I don't think she was any different to how she has been before. She has a very sharp tngue when she gets her dander up. Clearly she doesn't like Tony and he feels the same way. He is a grown man, I am pretty sure he can hold his own.

I don't know why he made such an issue about the bug on a show where people eat live cockroaches and witchety grubs which imo is far crueler that a quick death on the fire. Surely he knows this about the show and knew he might have to potentially eat one in a trial if chosen to do it?

I do think she took it too far, but I think he was goading her and he's a hypocrite for attacking her for killing a bug when he's on a TV show when one of the most well known activities is eating live beetles and bugs

Yes another pointless argument , she really had a full blown rant at Tony when she get's going she never stops

And whilst it was cruel to throw the bug in the fire, Lady C did have point when she said the crabs Tony ate were probably boiled alive.

No offence Tony, but he doesn't do himself any favours. He just sits there looking at Lady C while she insults him. He sits there, speaking in a low tone voice. I think that annoys Lady C even more.

He comes across as effete.

He's old enough and fat enough to just shut up.

i would agree. What Tony does seems to go unnoticed in the camp. He talks behind people's backs and it was 'beneath him' to dress as a bell boy.

Oh, what is???

No-one challenged that.

That annoyed me soo much and Tony made himself look pathetic and lazy because it would of only of been for 1 night and he acts as if it's the worst thing in the world when it's just a task but no he'd rather forfeit the dingo dollars like he's the king of camp

if the shoe was on the other foot he'd happily let the other's serve him while he sits on his big arse

And i disliked Jorgie from then because she just sat there with her goofy face and ditzy voice and just went "yeah ok" and did exactly what Tony said

I didn't like the beetle thing AT ALL, but then I hate it when they are crunching on live beetles and crickets too so I can't be hypocritical. It may be a part of the show but they don't HAVE to eat them and I'm sure it makes no difference to the insects whether it's for the show or not, they are still being chewed alive. Not to mention trampled alive in the trials.
I think too that people brought up in different cultures (isn't Lady C from Jamaica?) have different mind sets regarding insects and animals - eg, don't the Chinese eat dogs? I think most of us in the Western world respect all living creatures, though I have seen shops with that awful fly - fryer hanging up that sizzles when the fly touches it. Yuck. And we boil poor lobsters and crabs alive which I would never eat, and we kill 'garden pests' so we can have pretty flowers etc, so....
I didn't like it one bit, though. It doesn't put me off finding her entertaining though, just as Helen bullying Jale didn't put you off enjoying her....

Since you are so upset by the beetle why aren't you condemning them for eating
Live bugs? No eyelids are batted over that. It is a shame she chose to throw the beetle on the fire but in context, in this show, its a pretty non issue.

I don't know how many times I have to say this,I don't agree with anything being eaten live ,boiled live, infact anything that is live, and who is to say Tony would eat any of the bugs? has he eaten any? he was slow on the trial as he was scared of crushing the crabs,I think a lot of the tasks are uncalled for ,the only person I have seen eat live bugs is the old bat herself,I am sure there are many eyelids raised and it may be a none issue to you,it's not to me it's downright cruel especially when it was done purposely,as people keep saying two wrongs don't make a right. ...I really don't see how it can be equated...'I'll eat live bugs etc because I realise it's part of the gameshow I've decided to be a part of and if I don't, I'll neither be a team player, winning stars and food or be entertainment for the viewers'..with, 'I'll pop a bug on the fire for the absolute heck of it'....I hate the eating tasks but still, everyone knows that it's a part of it, unlike what she did so I don't see the hypocritical bit at all...anyways that aside, because I can't say that I'm grieving for the bug either/it was just a weird and unnecessary thing to do...she 'crossed' the line ages ago with how nasty and spiteful she is with her comments, whether the other person is acting well or not, her responses are way OTT and just horrid....she's been the biggest let down for me and is no kind of dame at all, pantomime or otherwise...so #team Kaz with this.....

Hi there Ammi :wavey: Unfortunately many people just see bugs as pests that are going to crawl somewhere they are not wanted and kill them, so unfortunately it's not that weird or that unusual. I myself wouldn't even hurt a fly and never could. I hate spiders and you would have a laugh if you seen the cut of me getting one into a jar and safely outside. :hehe: So I certainly didn't like what Lady C did one little bit. I still think the outcry is a little bit hypocritical though.
I can see the difference in eating bugs for the show, but is it that much better that they eat them alive to get an extra portion or two of food? After all, there is usually just one or two 'live bug' dishes in the eating challenge and plenty of stars could still be brought back, so it's a deliberate and unnecessary choice to put a living thing in your mouth and chew it to death. So to me there's not much difference between a mindless act or one to boost your ego and standing in the camp in that they both cruel and unnecessary acts.
I've rarely watched IACeleb in the past, and when I do, I can barely watch the eating challenges and have to turn away when they are eating the bugs, I think it's sick.
