One candidate has sensationally QUIT The Apprentice 2015, it has been revealed.
In scenes set to air in the next few episodes, Scott Saunders walks out of the boardroom after a bust up with boss Lord Sugar.
The Sun on Sunday newspaper reports that Scott storms out in anger with Lord Sugar remarking: “Good. You’re doing me a massive favour. I didn’t want you anyway.”
Scott's exit came after the boss branded him "useless" on a task in a "ruthless" barrage of criticism.
“Lord Sugar was absolutely ruthless. He tore apart everything that Scott had done from start to finish and called him a waste of space," a source told the newspaper. “He kept saying that there was no point in him being there, that he had made stupid decisions and that he had brought nothing to the task.
“He even said that Scott’s performance had been the worst ever seen on the show."
The insider claims that Scott felt Lord Sugar's comments were "rude and disrespectful" and left him feeling "offended".
“He said to the panel, ‘Thank you for the opportunity, but I quit’," the source 'close to Scott' continued. "Scott did not wait around to be abused further, he stormed out before anyone could stop him and left the rest of the room in stunned silence."
A show source added: "[The team] understood that it was his decision and no one in the team tried to coax him back on the show later. Scott has no regrets about quitting. He has moved on and sees it as water under the bridge.
“His business is up and running so he’s busy working on that and trying to take it forward.”
A spokesperson for The Apprentice said: “We never comment on upcoming episodes.”
The Apprentice 2015 continues Wednesday nights on BBC One at 9PM.
