Newcastle city centre fire

'Firefighters and police are tackling a large fire in Newcastle city centre amid reports that people are still missing.

More than 50 firefighters are fighting to get the blaze at the Kard Bar, a poster and print shop, under control on Cross Street. Large plumes of black smoke are billowing around the city centre as the flames spread through the shop. Businesses and people have been evacuated and motorists have been told to avoid the area.

The fire service say there are still people reported missing and firefighters are searching the shop and flats above using breathing apparatus.'

Hmmm..everyone on my FB is saying its 'the bong shop' thats on fire. Thats quite different to 'poster and print' :laugh:

I saw this in person from a few streets away!! Apparently it was a card shop.
