How do you feel when people say that they're Vegetarians just to lose some weight? Does it bug you in some way? Or are you perfectly fine with someone doing that?

You see I'm asking this as a big Meat Eater, so I'm interested in peoples responses to this.

I'm a veggie Mocky, and it doesn't bother me if they do it for that reason ,but they should know it doesn't always help with losing weight, it depends what they replace it with.

Anyone who wants to try a vegetarian diet for whatever reason is fine by me.

Why would it bug people? People go on diets to lose weight all the time?

I see no reason why that would bother me at all. People all have their own reasons for trying a vegetarian diet, some do it for ethical reasons, some do it for health reasons. Neither is less valid than the other.

What does irritate me is people who eat fish yet identify specifically as vegetarian. You're not a bloody vegetarian then in my eyes, you're a pescetarian (or pesco-vegetarian if you insist on using the v-word for whatever reason). :idc:

Slight bump but I wanted to put my two pence in. :hee:

True story...
I was at the drive through at McDonalds one time, and as i drove out, i looked to see who was in there and saw my mates sister (a vegetarian) sat there shovelling a big Mac down her throat. :joker::joker::joker:
