First of many, sadly.
..great that he wasn't killed/that his injuries aren't life threatening and the other two are minor injuries...terrifying for them all and all who witnessed it...
in a city of millions of people, this type of thing is going to happen unfortunately.

Why should it get any more attention than the guy who shoved a fellow passenger onto the tracks at Kentish Town last week, that guy was seriously injured, just another nutter in a city of 10 million. Are you saying because he screamed this is for Syria it is more important?

They really need to tighten security in all underground station. We need armed police in all of them, because now the UK is the prime target.

Yeah, I tend to agree - some lone lunatic going around injuring people in the name of whatever is a problem, but nowhere near as big of one as the threat of actual ISIS attacks. If the swift police and civilian response to this attack is any indication, rogue nutters running around trying to stab people shouldn't be an issue for much longer

Yes now under Terrorism
If you focus solely on the attacker shouting 'this is for Syria' then the most you can get from that is that either a) ISIS and its supporters are violent in which case, well done b) the attacker isn't affiliated with ISIS but is just a supporter, in which the most you can take from this is that ISIS may be planning to attack the UK at some point or another in which case, well done or c) the attacker has no affiliation with ISIS whatsoever and is just a nutjob with a machete

They really do, however even them they cannot be everywhere.
At least one thing to be thankful for is no one has died in this terrifying incident but I agree, security again needs to be looked at and heavily strengthened.
Everywhere.

In which case, it was a nutjob with a kitchen knife - really the height of ISIS sophistication, huh?
(also, if there's anything guaranteed to make Londoners feel more safe, it's armed police on your commute to work every morning)

yep, I've noticed quite a few officers at stations but they need to increase the armed police present.
They should all carry heavy armed guns.

So is he a terrorist or just some random nutter? I have no doubt that ISIS is planning to hit us next. I don't know how the government is going to stop them.

Not to put a dampener on things but attacks could happen just about anywhere, in a church, in your supermarket, you can't really defend yourself against people who are to kill themselves for their cause no matter how many armed police are around, best you can do is carry on as normal

Luckily this was a pathetic attack. Not one that IS would be proud to claim.I'd guess the attacker is just a random nut with sympathies for IS.

Should have shot the bastard instead of tasering him. In my opinion of course.

I agree, messing about with Tasers with this deranged lunatic attacking members of the public is risky, rather instead he got both barrels from the business end of a 45 magnum...
End of problem , bring in the cleanup squad to scrape the bits of brain of the pavement.... Job done

Perhaps the fact that he is alive may prove useful? They might be able to get information from him regarding other terrorists and planned attacks (without torture of course, that would be inhumane)

Why on earth would we want that, blown to bits in the middle of a tube station surrounded by passengers is what's needed here, and then disposed of in a public televised celebration that will definitely not incite more violence :cheer2:

he was definitely a muslim, "bruv".
http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/leytonstone-stabbing-suspect-was-reported-to-met-police-by-his-own-family-three-weeks-before-attack/ar-AAg8GXG?ocid=spartandhp
...I doubt this is IS linked at all but more someone who is mentally ill and it's possibly he may have a 'fixation' on IS/hence what he said...apparently his family have been concerned about his mental welfare for a few weeks and tried to seek help for him...anyways, my thoughts are that it's a good thing that our police aren't armed because he may have been shot dead for being mentally ill as opposed to being a terrorist....
...and just to be clear on this and to avoid confusion...can we have no mentally ill Muslims please...:fist:...

I agree Ammi this seemed like the work of someone who was mentally ill rather than following orders from Raqqa
