It's her money she can do what she wants

That's £500 each, if a kid got an x box a couple of games and an outfit it would be that though, it just looks a lot :/

I just hope she isn't robbed after posting that on FB!

I saw this yesterday and my first thought was "Silly cow" but then I saw her being interviewed and she said she shops all year round for bargains, uses vouchers and sales, and as Kizzy said £500 on each child can easily be spent on consoles TVs etc, they look like lots of small things and clothes,so it's probably easy to do,but I admit 80 presents each sounds excessive .

I just don't see how they can appreciate any of them if they have such a huge volume of them, you know?

I actually fell into this trap, felt so guilty that their mates got stuff through the year I would overcompensate at Christmas :/

Crimson Dynamo

she has totally lost the idea of what is going on and just gone overboard

i am sure she can justify it but its too much

maybe she could use her time more productively for her family

It works out at an average of £5 per present, so the kids aren't spoiled because it's probably a load of ****e

1500 for 3 kids and her husband is actually not that much. she just went overboard on the wrapping.

clearly those presents aren't actually leaning up against the tree, other wise the tree would have toppled over, she just wrapped everything individually, and set it up in a way to make it look like a huge pile.

maybe she shouldn't be bragging about it and probably move the presents somewhere else because you can't see the tree, but there's nothing wrong with getting too many presents. She works hard and saves up for it. The gifts are probably not that expensive too

why are the presents already out anyway? in my house the presents didn't come until christmas eve.

imagine what that pile will look like after santa comes!

Kizzy your maths :omgno:

It's looks like a load of little bits, stupid really as the kids will ignore most of it once opened but her money and as long as Wonga isn't involved I can't see the issue really apart from her bragging and now being a target to get robbed

those kids are gonna be unwrapping a lot of socks and t-shirts...

they'd probably rather get coal, it burns longer. kids love fire.

Maybe she hasn't got a car on finance or an expensive sky subscription? look at the bland joyless git in the article... 'my kids get nowt'! Good for you you 1970s reject.
The tree looks ace the house looks inviting and warm and the kids will be happy... It's all about quantity when they're little, you could wrap up a packet of jelly tots and it would be the best present ever.
This is jealousy more than anything, justifies calling her a crap mum and making sexist comments.... blurgh, makes me sick.

This pic has been doing the rounds on fb for weeks.

It's not really that much money tbf especially when you see some saying they spend the same amount on 1 kid.

Ok, so it all looks a bit chavvy to me.
Less is more, a decent expensive gift and a few stocking fillers is fine by me.
Then again, judging by the jugs on her, all a bit superficial.

can we all maybe give her the benefit of the doubt... imagine how excited her kids would be when they first saw that pile of presents. You know damn well it put a huge smile on their faces. and there's nothing wrong with that.

Exactly. I hate the judging. You could argue she set herself up for it by posting about it but I'm sure it was just an innocent social media post like any other. Just let her be and not make this out to be something it isn't.

every kid likes to wake up on Christmas morning to a load of presents. A lot of the fun is in unwrapping rather than the cost of the present. It may seem bah humbug to an adult ... but so what

It doesn't mean her kids are spoilt either. Even if she is spoiling them this ONE DAY, don't most parents? People judging her parenting skills because she's bought loads of christmas presents

This was much my thinking too Kazanne.

I do however take Niamh's point too as to appreciation of them really.

So long as it's money earned from working she can do what she likes. It's the ones on benefits, who brag about how much they (we) spend on expensive gifts that gets my goat.

I agree. I don't think she should be judged for the way she spends her money. Especially as it's not for herself and for her kids.

I also agree with the posts above saying that something like a TV or a games console and a couple of games to go along with it would probably cost around the same or even more for one child alone. So £500 isn't crazy. The presents just look like lots of cheap/reasonable priced items. It's not the price spent it's just the big number of presents which just makes people automatically think "omfg spoilt brats! :fist:" etc etc

what the **** is happening
if she saved up herself so she could indulge her kids for once, probably the one time she could and then she gets the whole world ****ing sticking their spoons in and loose women giving their bitchy ****ing views
just ****ing piss off and leave people alone for christ sake
how dare they call themselves a news provider
