Christmas shoppers visiting Britain's fourth largest shopping centre found themselves in traffic hell yesterday as the sheer number of vehicles left them stranded in queues for up to six hours.

Police had to be called to Bluewater, Kent, after a last-minute gift

rush brought 240 acres of car parking space to a complete standstill.

Drivers were seen crying behind their wheels as a massive influx of seasonal

Last year me and a few friends stupidly thought it would be a good idea to go to the Trafford Centre on Boxing Day, never again we were stuck for hours too. It was so miserable cars couldn't move anywhere we were completely stuck and everyone was getting angry and shouting and blasting their car horns. :worry:

My local shopiing centre was fine, apart from M and S food hall which was rammed and the Pandora shop had a queue complete with queuing section around 50 people waiting :umm2:

I went to Morrisons early this morning and had to wait to park. I only needed a basket luckily... there were no trolleys left and ridiculous queues at the checkouts. By the time I left there was a massive queue just to get into the car park. What the hell...? The shops are only closed for a day.

I went to the Shopping Centre to do a purge of my old games at CEX, thought it would be murder but it wasn't that busy at all.

I did my normal weeks shopping on Monday, i refuse to go into town as it's mayhem, if i need anything then i'll find it in my local Co-op!

And when shopping on Monday i was amazed to see that some people had 2 shopping trolleys, has someone forgotten to tell me there's going to be an apocalypse:conf::laugh:

Around here Tesco Online deliveries are booked solid until new year, so I went after work to do a massive Christmas shop last night. Left work at 10.45, finished the shopping around midnight..... There were queues for every checkout and a huge one at self service. At MIDNIGHT on a bloody Monday! I go to the same 24hr Tesco quite a lot after work and it's usually like The Walking Dead at 11pm even on weekends. Totally abandonned, maybe one or two junkie zombies shuffling around.

I used to do my shopping on the 23rd Dec every year, i would get up at 3am and be in Tescos for 4am, and i couldn't believe my eyes.....it was like a Saturday afternoon!

And they still had no pork pies!

Crazy isn't it. If I've forgotten anything now it's too late. No way am I going anywhere near anything that resembles a shop. The thought of it makes me shudder.

Just go straight to the front of the Queue and say "I am Livia, please stand aside!" and if they won't move you can say "Don't you know how much I earn, you squirming worm??"

Someone got her reminder emails from Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys at the back end of November.
Booked a food shop at all three for the Monday 21st and Wednesday the 23rd.
Cancelled them all apart from my Monday Tesco shop as it had the best offers on what we needed. Managed to add to it and get all daughters veg etc for her to take back down South tomorrow so she will miss the crush as well.

If it's not going to get me a seat on the tube there's no way it's getting me to the front of the queue. However, I reserve the right to try this in the future. I'll let you know how it goes.

What is ****ing wrong with people? The shops are closed for one day. You'd think they were closing forever.

I saw a fight yesterday over a turkey crown :umm2:

This is the second time in a few years I have seen this too

There were loads of turkey joints there too..why on earth is a crown so important that you would burst someone elses nose infront of their (and your own) children :S
