If it was a stunt he is failing as the NHS Choir has retaken #1 on ITunes and as of last night was just 662 copies behind him

It's to help improve his image, but a nice thing to do nonetheless. Now if there were a way to download it for free and it count towards the #1 goal..

Please GOD NO!!!

Anything but this stupid, depressing, boring NHS song for xmas #1!!!

Who in their right mind would even support the NHS (Not Helpful Scumbags)??? This organisation is more corrupt than FIFA is. I'm baffled at the fact that the British public actually support this and allow them to get away with murder!! The NHS have unlawfully killed thousands of innocent men, women, children and babies over the years when they could have saved them instead!! But their staff are SO incompetent and lazy that without realising they MURDERED their patients and many people are suing them now!!!! DISGUSTING TRASH!!!!

I'm not even a fan of choir music, I think it is just so dreary, depressing, slow and dull. Choir music is so out of date in 2015. I'd rather buy thousands of copies of the X Factor winners single than buy this stupid mess from the NHS!!!!

I think they would've got #1 even without him tweeting that tbh, they were already at double his sales of digital downloads at the time of him tweeting that. The only problem is that NHS choir are doing really badly on streams so they'll have to hope the downloads are enough to do it.

He could just be trying to save face but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt (not that he cares what I think lmao)
