It's beyond comprehension to leave your kids home alone at night to go to restaurant with friends in a foreign country ..
I think they make a good point.

They need to empty that room.

No Madeleine was, very unlucky indeed to have two parents who would ever dream of leaving her aged 3 and two babies in an unlocked ground floor apartment while they went out to dinner. Far too far away to be able to hear or see anything of that apartment. How on earth could any parent do anything so neglectful and without caring about the safety and welfare of such very young children?
If they'd been on a lower "social level" I'm pretty sure the reaction to and consequences of such gross neglect and it's horrific outcome would have been far more severe.

If a chav couple went on holiday and left their kids in the hotel while they went out to drink alcopops and dance the night away, they would be slaughtered in the press. Absolutely slaughtered.
Two doctors? Did nothing wrong, just unlucky.
I do feel for them (if the story of them not knowing what happened to her is true... which I am far from convinced of) BUT I feel much worse for the poor girl who was utterly failed, on many levels.

If it had been a hotel it may have been a little safer. They left three very young children in an unlocked ground floor apartment, which wasn't even in their view and a good distance away. That poor child could have got out of there herself. I think the baby twins were in cots but what does that guarantee?
I agree with you. There are far too many unanswered questions and contradictions. Without a proper unhampered investigation the truth will never be known.

Leaving her home alone is NEGLECT
She only checked every 30 minutes, which if you know children is honestly a long time..
Also letting someone they met on holiday to check on her (and he didn't even check if she was there) is again, neglect.

Eh?! Even those who don't think the parents have anything to do with the disappearance agree that they did indeed neglect her that night. Whether it was regular, we don't know. But since its been admitted that they left the kids alone every night of that holiday (bar one)...its pretty much fact that they neglected them during the holiday
every child is priceless
What if she was sold into slavery?

Sums it up.
I still think they should have been jailed for something - wasting police time, child neglect... did they use public funds on this? I don't know, if so then for that too. You don't leave a toddler and two babies alone in an unlocked villa while you go out for dinner with people you only met on holiday and allow some of those strangers to be alone with your children... just moronic on so many levels. So, if it was an honest mistake then I feel bad for them for their sheer idiocy and the levels of hatred they've gotten from the public, but I find it hard to accept their viewpoint that they did nothing wrong. I really hope she's dead because I hate to think the sheer horror that's been inflicted on her if she's still alive... adopted by a kind family unaware of where she came from, she was not.

Of course it's neglect, even if they were actually checked every 30 minutes. Not locking the door of a ground floor apartment is also neglect.
Their sheer irresponsibility and from two medical professionals is shocking.
As was their response from the start.

It would most certainly be treated as neglect in the UK too

If you think leaving your very young children alone why you go out getting pissed with your mates is fine then I hope you never become a parent.
If a normal parent without the money to fall back on left their child for 5 minutes the child would be taken off them and they would probably be arrested for neglecting their child.
The McCanns no more then they are letting on.

I didn't agree with the word "neglect" I didn't say I agreed with what they did, since neglect is much more serious.

https://www.nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/child-abuse-and-neglect/neglect/
Physical neglect
Failing to provide for a child’s basic needs such as food, clothing or shelter. Failing to adequately supervise a child,or provide for their safety.
So much so, she "disappeared". That doesn't include the fear any child can feel waking up in that situation, emotional neglect. The night before when they were alone Maddie had been heard sobbing for a long time, by the woman next door.
Their three very young children were neglected, every night bar one.

Funds running low Mc Canns?.... :/
They quite recently set aside 1m in a private bank account from the madeleine fund so they can continue looking for her after the police investigation ends...makes you wonder why they needed to set aside money into another bank when the whole of the madeleine fund is meant to be search money really...
The amaral case isn't going as well as they hoped either as the public (including british public) have been fundraising so that he can afford an appeal. That didn't go to plan as he was meant to just roll over and give the cash to them because his assets were frozen and he couldn't afford to fight it...
Not going well I think.

Ah right so the money creamed from the search fund is for legal expenses? tsk!
