What are you talking about OP? Dirk is saying this because Cleo was deliberately bothering him all day yesterday because she is jealous that Dirk fancies Shilpa. Were you watching the live feed yesterday?

Jo and Cleo were planning to annoy Dirk. The main reason for Cleo really annoying Dirk though, is because Cleo quite likes Dirk, and she is totally jealous that he fancies Shilpa, and jealous of the way he has been flirting with Shilpa.

It is a shame, Dirk is a great guy, and hopefully on tongihts High Light show you will see how Cleo has been deliberately trying to make Dirk to look like some miserable guy. Truth is they were really being out of order, he was quite upset at one point.

Seems a bit harsh for him to say, but I'm not going to make any judgements, until I see the context in which it was said. It's whether or not Cleo took it too far, he's 61, and lives in a rural environment, and I imagine, doesn't socialize to the extent he has to in that house. As people have said, everything is magnified in there,so 'Tiara' could become annoying to Dirk.

I watched a portion of the live feed last night, and all they seemed to talk about, was playing pranks on Dirk, even Jermaine had to step in at one point,and advise against doing so. I think Dirk's become the main target for ridicule, from the girls, now that Jades' left, and I feel that he may have become a little tired of it.

Overall, I believe Dirk's a great housemate, many stories to share, many jokes to tell, many hearts to warm. I'd love for him to win Cbb, but if not, I'd like him to stay as long as possible.

Cleo, underneath all of her nice act, is actually becoming increasingly jealous of Dirk and Shilpa's flirting.

It's ashame to see Cleo get jealous, jealousy is one of the roots of evil.

All will be revealed on tonights highlight show.

Apparantly, Dirk told Cleo to stop it, but she still continued, it's almost as if they were trying to drive Dirk out of the house or something. Even Shilpa and Jermain were saying " This is unfair, they should leave him alone".

That's funny. If it had been a women/one of the unpopular gang bitching I think everyone would be up in arms about it, but suddenly when it's a favourite it's just 'honesty' and 'saying what we all think' maybe, but it's still bitching.

Anyway, I don't particularly like Dirk. He's a bit of a grumpy mare and seems a bit like a desperate old man whenever he's around Shilpa. It's utterly cringeworthy.

Jermaine just sits around all day doing nothing and dirk just smokes cigars and does nothing.

Whereas, Cleo has been far more entertaining and had me and others in the house in fits of laughter. So how dirk can say she doesn't have a funny bone in her body is hard to belief.

Cleo and the others, did have me in fits of laughter last night aswell, but overall I wouldn't say there was a great difference between the actions of Dirk and Cleo.On a normal day, I tune into Live feed, to find them both just sitting around talking. I don't find either one of them boring though, they both equally have their funny moments, I don't think it's very fair to say Dirk just sits around smoking cigars all the time, he does get involved most of the time, and makes the majority of the housemates laugh.

Because it's true, Jermaine and Dirk have a laugh and have enjoyed themselves just because they don't shout and jump about don't make them boring, Cleo hasn't been entertaining at all IMO, she does nothing at all.

Cleo is a bit of a dark horse, I'm not really sure what to make of her.

Dirk does have his ups and downs; but overall I think he's ok. Sorta reminds me of me actually, only 35 years older!

I think Cleo nominated Jade and Shilpa because she is afraid of them. I liked her alot until her recent non-actions towards the whole gang up on shilpa. Its true she doesnt have a spine and in my opinion truly isnt funny like dirk says.

Sorry CJ4Life - you know I love you {:wink:), but you knew I'd disagree with you about this.

So...here's my take on things.

Dirk was sleeping when Cleo went in and deliberately woke him up to pester him. I'm not saying that the housemates shouldn't have gone in the living area - it's there for all of them to use, but to deliberately wake him up to pester him is damn rude.

He asked her to stop a couple of times, but she wouldn't. So he went out of the room, and still she followed him around the house doing what she knew was winding him up. Why would someone do that? If someone was upset, why keep pushing it further and further? Because it's funny to see someone upset? To provoke an argument? Who knows? But even the other housemates clearly thought that Cleo should leave it and not follow Dirk out of the living room.

I also thought she showed a nasty side when she was in the diary room and said, "Dirk's about to crack - I think we should play on that." Why?? If someone is on the edge, why try and push them over it? Is it funny to see someone crack up?

Her reasons for following him around were that if he dishes it out, he should be able to take it. What a stupid reason. She mentioned that he was talking to Jo and Danielle about porn and she didn't seem to like that. Well first of all, it was obvious that he was JOKING! Secondly, Jo and Danielle have the filthiest mouths out of all the housemates, so it was pretty obvious that they wouldn't be offended.

Same when he was playing around with Shilpa...Shilpa clearly wasn't bothered by it, as she was laughing around with the rest of them (plus, she has been flirtatious with Dirk, and playing on the fact that he fancies her).

If either Jo and Danielle, or Shilpa had asked him to stop - like he asked Cleo - I'm sure he would have done. He said himself that if he was teasing someone and they told him to stop, he would.

I find it hilarious that Jo said that Dirk had no manners. The words pot and kettle come to mind. Since Jo has been in the house, she has proven herself to be bad-mannered, bad-tempered, foul-mouthed, spiteful and bitchy.

She also commented that Dirk had said she couldn't use his lighter any more. I didn't see him say that, so I don't really know what context he said it in...however, it sounded like the gas in the lighter was going down. Regardless, it's quite ironic that Jo is moaning because he said that to her. She has constantly been bitchy and rude about Shilpa (she's only stopped because Jade was evicted and Jo and Danielle are worried that their behaviour towards Shilpa was not liked by the public). As Cleo herself said, "If someone is going to dish it out, they should be prepared to take it." Maybe she should tell Jo that.

Incidentally, humour is subjective. I personally found Cleo's 'Tiara' character about as funny as a hole in the head. It was just plain annoying.
