Channel 5 can't and won't axe Big Brother for the following reasons:
1) It is the programme that makes Channel 5 and Viacom the most money and gives them the highest ratings
2) They come up with this "BB Faces Axe" crap EVERY SODDING YEAR!!!
3) The current contract lasts until 2018 so they DO NOT have the rights to terminate the contract!!

Here's why it's apparently "FACING THE AXE"

CELEBRITY Big Brother’s future was in doubt last night amid soaring complaints from viewers over racism, homophobia and lewd acts.

Producers are considering how to handle a growing backlash over outrageous actions and comments from Winston McKenzie.

Official complaints to telly watchdog Ofcom soared past 350 last night.

Gobby Winston is now embroiled in a race row and has outraged viewers with his anti-gay comments.

He is already facing the boot in the first eviction tonight.

The ex-boxer, 62, first upset viewers during his pre-entry interview, which aired during Tuesday’s launch show.

He claimed he would “stand with my back against a brick wall all the time” if there were any gay housemates living with him.

In the past he has compared same-sex adoption to child abuse and expressed “dismay” after it emerged boxing promoter Frank Maloney, 62, had become transgender Kellie.

Winston is also at risk of being branded sex-mad by fans after he tried to get curvy Tiffany Pollard, 34, into bed.

In scenes shown in last night’s highlights show he begged her for a cuddle before asking her to get under the sheets with him and said: “I’ve been waiting for this moment.”

After the US reality babe refused to romp with him he turned to Nancy Dell’Olio, 54, and tried to convince her to comfort him but she also turned him down.

Winston was put up for eviction by Geordie Shore star Scotty T, 27, in the first round of nominations.

Kristina Rihanoff, 38, and Nancy also face being booted out in tonight’s live show at 9pm on Channel 5.
