How messy, does he genuinely have a bad memory or is he stupid enough to lie about not saying something even though millions of people saw him say it?

Are we sure that he was answering the same question that the VT portrayed he was answering?

oh dear
even if the phrase was taken out of context, you would think he would remember saying it. I'm also sure he will have seen his VT before it was broadcast.

I have no words
How?
Because in what other context would he say it that wouldn't be homophobic lmao

I don't remember the actual vid, but it may be possible he said 2 things and they were spliced together. Though...with the back to the wall thing he must have realistically been on about gay people regardless. he just may not have said it about 'coping'
He seems like someone who says a lot of stuff without thinking, as such he may well not remember actually saying that. Not that this is an excuse.
Why has noone showed him the vid yet

His exact words were "I guess I'll just have to be standing against a brick wall all the time".

believe it or not but
"backs against the wall" was a common tv joke in the 70s and 80s when a gay guy came on shot

He did say it in his VT which makes it even more remarkable that Emma was able to greet him cordially on his way in, surprised she didn't boot him up the stairs

Something tells me he could flatout say "I HATE GAYS" and you'd spin it into "No he's just talking about overly happy people".
Oh, and the comment was immediately preceded by "I'd cope with a homosexual in the house", somebody who had no problem with gay people wouldn't even have the need to say something like that.

She's only passionate about homophobia when it suits, or when she is told to be it seems ;)

makes me wonder if more people here watched BBUS would some of them defend Aaryn with "she's entitled to her own opinion" and "the PC brigade needs to lighten up" and whatever else

Hardly surprising that he's trying to deny it in the most stupid way.

No, only the ones that use the excuse of religion to be bigots. Not every religious person is a homophobe.
It's just more desperate reaching to protect an awful little man from taking responsibilities for his own actions.
