Hero - Currently Captain America, but all time would be Christian Bale's Batman
Villain - David Tennant's Kilgrave
The Punisher deserves a mention as well but I don't think he really fits the tag of either hero or villain
Lostie!

Mine are both from the MCU (and the same corner of the MCU specifically).
Hero: Captain America (because Peggy Carter isn't classed as a superhero)
Villain: Arnim Zola

She's not really a supervillain but I'll let you have it.

Can't pick one hero so either Catwoman, Rorschach or Daredevil because of the netflix series.
Villain... has to be the joker really.

Hero: Spiderman, Daredevil, Iron Man, Hulk, Batman, Superman, Spawn, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Professor X, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Blade.
Villain: Joker, Magneto, Onslaught, Carnage/Venom, Wynn, Dr. Doom, Sabertooth, Mystique, Apocalypse.
I need to catch up on my reading at some point.

Hero: Either Cap or the Netflix Daredevil.
Villain: Joker from the Arkham series, voiced by Luke Skywalker.
Kilgrave was brilliant for the first half of the Jessica Jones series... but he went pretty limp by the end of it, sadly.

I hope WB include him into the new Batman film continuity, it'd be sad if they didn't take advantage of an older Batman to do some of the stories they couldn't feasibly do before.

Subjective... there's no such thing as "overrated". Different people enjoy different things... and rate them as they rate them. My wife would agree with you; she's not a Superhero or Sci-fi fan whereas I am... but on the other hand there are many other movies and shows that we both rate highly. Likewise; she liked "Sex and the City" and I find it to be the most offensive trash in the history of television. And I often like trash telly.
