A new TiBB game where 12 contestants will be challenged to solve a mystery. But what appears at first to be a simple case of a missing woman, soon becomes an adventure that is more dangerous than any of them could have imagined.

Apply now and be taken on a journey of danger and discovery, where you'll need to solve the clues you find in order to survive and progress. Logic, gameplay, teamwork and problem solving will help you succeed.

You will also make decisions along the way that will shape the events of the game, and ultimately your fate, as well as the fate of your competitors.

Who is Eloine? Who is responsible for her disappearance? Where is she?
Will she survive?... ... Will you?
Who can you trust?

It's all very mysterious basically tbh.


The adventure starts on 29th February!

Story:

Episode 1: A Necessary Deception - Part 1

12 strangers wake up in a decrepit room, dazed and confused, with no memory of how they got there, or who they are.

You're on board a ship but that's about all you can gather. You contemplate your surroundings and each other, and notice that everyone has a backpack. You check your own and stare at the contents for minutes, wondering why you have it with you, trying to spark a memory, but nothing. You decide to keep it close by anyway, just in case.

[You will receive a PM with the contents of your backpack after the first elimination.]

You look around, wondering who these people are. Wondering who you are. Before spotting a crate in the corner of the room. You open it and inside, amongst other things, is a letter.

It reads:

The name 'Eloine' sends shivers down your spine. You don't know why. You look in the crate again and see the following items:

- A bracelet engraved "To my darling Josephine"
- A bloodied rag
- A copy of George Orwell's '1984'
- A pregnancy test

You're confused and afraid but before you can absorb any of this, the room becomes engulfed in flames.

Over the next 24 hours I will be posting clues as to where your destination is and you can PM the destination to me at any point from now until Wednesday 6pm. Do not post it on the game thread. If you change your mind at any point based on further clues you can PM me a different destination and I will take your final choice. If you chose to help anyone else during any of the challenges that is up to you, but right now you are playing as individuals, so helping someone else will only damage your own chances. Team work will come into play later on.

Task 1: Figure out your destination. This is what the clues are referring to (Clue #1, Clue #2, etc).

Task 2: Complete the first line of the below: (This has nothing to do with your destination.)

There was no elimination tonight as originally intended. Instead there will be a DOUBLE elimination on Friday.


I decided against it because this round has shown me that I need to change a few elements to the game. I've loved seeing how much thought you've put into the clues, some of them were really brilliantly thought out and explained! Regardless of being right or wrong. But it's made me realise that having lots of different clues for the same answer is probably more confusing than it is helpful (and maybe less fun as a result, which kind of defeats the point). So I'm changing things slightly for future rounds, which you'll see starting with Episode 2 (where you will also start working in teams, as well as individually).

-This is an allusion to 'typeface'. The letters of "IS COMING" are reminiscent of the Hollywood Sign (and the typeface itself is also called 'Hollywood Hills' - it is also hovering over the hills in the picture).

-This is a generic allusion to Hollywood. The kind of place that attracts a lot of people who want to be noticed, but only a few are.

So this was a really challenging one I think! Well done if you managed to crack it. But I wanted to include something that would be quite difficult and not necessarily solvable at first glance.

I didn't expect that anyone would guess 'Hollywood' based on the first clue alone but as you can see, the first part of clue #1 tied in with clue #5 and my intention with that was to plant a seed, then offer some further clues relating to Hollywood, and then provide clue #5 with the thought that the imagery in it might help you realise that it was connected to the 'is coming above the sea' part of clue #1.

He seemed like an appropriate person to pick, given his recent Oscar success and being such a big part of the industry. The fact that it's a promo shot from 'The Beach' was a red herring (Hollywood Beach, Florida). I wanted all of the clues to link in with Hollywood, California, but for some of them to have more than one possible answer (Hollywood, California being the only answer that connected all 5.)

Then came the MGM one, there's a poster in the background with David Copperfield on it, well he has Israeli descendents, Leonardo DiCaprio went out with an Israeli model, and the storm is coming i thought of Noah's Ark!

And the clue i thought was the clock hands position at ten to one.
