For the behaviour of these English people towards Jermaine and Dirk especially. Dirk as "The Face" in the A-team is part of my childhood. Like most kids I collected A-team figures and other merchandise and watched it every Saturday. To see him being spoken to like **** by these talent vacuums really pisses me off

It's Dirk mainly. I just don't like the way they speak to him. They should show more respect

I agree. I'm very embarrassed at the Brit contingent left :bored:. I know its been said a thousand times but the house is really missing Donny and Ken, they would have shone.

I don't see why Dirk should have to respect any of those people in the house after the way they've spoken to him.

Noone should expect respect just because they are in their 'autumn' years, everyone has to earn it, and the way I see it his , at times salaciousness has done little to earn him it.

Crankiness isnt a disease you acquire just because you are over 50!

There is absolutely no excuse for being rude... which Dirk is, dont lets excuse it because of his age.

I don't know how I feel about Dirk. He seems sad and odd to me. Closed off and kinda weird and mean. Then other times he is extremely caring and insightful.

He seems really nice, but can be really mean too. I thought when he said "you are too beautiful to be funny" was mean. I LAUGHED when danielle quickly agreed. but it was still mean. That's another problem I have with him, sometimes I do not know how to take him. Also, sadly I sense a hostility toward women.

I know Andy. It's embarrassing to be English when you see the behaviour of these people.

The A Team is part of my childhood too, and I've been rewatching the DVDs lately - still as good as ever. And of course, there is a lot more to Dirk Benedict than just the A Team.

If Jo and Danielle are remembered for their achievements in 20 odd years time, I'll be very surprised.

You should read his book, 'Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy'. He hasn't had an easy life, but you can see from reading the book that he definitely does not have a sense of hostility towards women. He doesn't seem to think much of some of the women in the house - and frankly, who can blame him? - but it's not a reflection of his attitude towards women in general.

As for his comment to Danielle about being too beautiful to be funny - I don't think it was meant to be nasty. He also said to Jermaine that he was glad he had failed the task because Danielle would probably have been upset if she had been the only one that failed (this was before Cleo went in).

I also remember him as Starbuck in Battlestar Gallactica and as the hero in the PC adventure game Zork:Grand Inquisitor. I guess we don't see much of the other TV and films he's done which are more well know in the States.

It's clear Dirk is just utterly fed up being in that house and I don't blame him for being irritable and snappy. He seemed happy going into the house and getting into the spirit of the game, but having to sleep through the screams of these gobshites and facing yet another day looking at a Pat Butcher lookalikie are clearly taking its toll. We realise that, clearly other fans of the show do not. Well frankly I couldn't give a stuff what they think. Dirk is a lege and I hope he wins.

If I was in that house right now I'd be unhappy as hell and you'd all be calling me a miserable git (which would be fair comment) and voting me out.

So why exactly should anybody respect Jo, Danielle or Cleo?

Dirk is a very funny guy, great judge of character, and to be honest with some of the morons he is stuck in there with, he has shown great restraint.
