View Full Version : Christopher Maloney Really gone off him bigtime!
Am I the odd one out here, because I've really gone off him. He's such a sneaky little suck arse. When Gemma asked could she speak to him in the bedroom he was playing up the poor nervy wreck by looking round at the others and saying "Gemma wants to see me!" "Gemma wants to speak to me!" in that pathetic little boy lost panicky voice. This was just after telling Gemma firmly "Yes, when I make the tea" - and NOT being afraid to call her shallow in the task in the first place!
Then in the toilet she is talking to him perfectly reasonably and Danniella his mammy is hovering around outside picking the gunge from her ears ready to rescue the pathetic wimp - from what? Deary me, what an ordeal for the poor laddie. When his Mammy rescues him by throwing open the door and butting her nose in, Gemma sails out and says 'sorted', and Chris skulks out with a hang dog look on his gormless face to show all his other Mammy's out there how awful it was to be in the clutches of big bad Gemma.
He clearly isn't really afraid of Gemma, it's all a pathetic act for the sympathy vote. As was the retch retch retch during nominations. Give me a break - if he suffered that much from anxiety he wouldn't be in the house in the first place.

Why take him to the toilet for a chat and not just have it out with him in the bedroom? It's because she's intimidating him.....he's finally calling her out and she doesn't like it.

....thanks for reminding me he nominated her, by the way. I forgot about that or I'd have mentioned that too in the above. Which again proves my point - he is so afraid of her he not only calls her shallow but nominated her as well....ummmm

Because she doesn't want anybody else putting their oar in, getting involved and making things worse when all she wanted to do was tell him quietly how she felt? (Which she did.) His mammy hovering around listening outside the door and flinging it open kind of proves my point again about other people getting involved, eh?

I don't think Gemma does anything quietly:hehe:
In my experience some people are naturally nervous and shy and these people are vulnerable and can easily be taken advantage of, she's the type of person that will use someone for her own gain, and Danielle was just looking out for him.

They all see Gemma for what she is, an overbearing, interfering, self obsessed, selfish gobsh*te.
Christopher on the other hand is a timid pussy. But he has a good heart and a good sense of humour so he will do for me.
I just wish someone would tell her to put a sock in it when she starts on with her waffle..or maybe stick a cork in it would be more appropriate as she tends to talk out of her arse.

Can you explain why you think she was using for her own gain?
She was only asking him why he picked her as shallow as she felt he wasn't being honest. During the task when he said that Megan yelled out "It's pissing me off!!! He's not being honest!!! And several others agreed with her. Gemma didn't yell at him like some might have, of take the huff with him, she just wanted to know. What's wrong with that?

She gets him to do everything and it's certainly not his gain putting fake tan on her fanny!

You forgot the bit about the interfering, self obsessed Gemma bringing the most drama to the show. What does Christopher bring? Valium? What does John bring? A curling sneering lip and strange stares? He even has to wear her clothes to get some camera time.

Agree :wavey:
He didn't isolate Tiffany with the whole David/David being dead, he gets on with everybody, and with all the arguing in the house he's never ostracized anyone. He truly comes across as a great guy!

He may be nice enough but he uses his anxiety to his advantage so he can hide behind other people and as an excuse to be two faced and dishonest. He's basically a cowardly wimp.

That is cobblers, his anxiety is very real,he certainly isn't two faced , and I've never known him be dishonest, maybe he thought Gemma would take his nomination in good heart being as she is supposed to be his 'friend' Gemma uses people for her own needs no matter how much people try and deflect that.

I didn't say his anxiety wasn't real, I said he uses it to his advantage. He hides behind his nerves to get off the hook and get a pass. You say Gemma is supposed to be his 'friend' - why did he nominate her then? I know why, he is so wet that he nominates a friend and risks their eviction because he's too nervous to nominate anyone else. Point proven.
I have never said Gemma doesn't use anyone. Unlike some, I know that everyone has faults, believe it or not, even Mr. Wimpy.

This is so way off.
It took a lot of nerve for him to nominate her knowing how gobby she is, he stood strong in his beliefs and gave her a great reason for nominating her..he's the fairest and most honest in there and all you can do is point out how weak you think he is..well little old lady, you need to watch more because it's been christopher who has went against the grain and stood alone more than once against the rest of the house.

He's hilarious sometimes, hope he does well from this.
Oh me too.
I hated hearing him going on about his hair falling out because of his anxiety, and i hated seeing it in action when he puked, again btw!
So for me he's taken a massive gamble to even attempt this and by the looks of it is getting the job done and conquering some demons on the way.
Getting Danniels support and friendship again has really lifted his confidence and given us a chance to see what he's about. I can't understand why John hasn't tried it on with him/ It could have been a dry hump more memorable as john and gemmas:joker:
The sneaky little **** stirrer Christopher Baloney was the most vocal about Gemma not doing the task - when she was out of the room of course, but he didn't say a word to her face about it.
Then he tackles her in the bedroom about her calling him a name - with his Mammy standing close by for protection of course. Gemma admitted it and soon took the wind out of his sails.
In the kitchen Stephanie says Gemma gets on her tits - and who laughs loudest with that fake laugh of his - Christopher Baloney. Gemma wasn't there of course.
Everything I have said has been well demonstrated in that episode. He's a sneaky little coward.
I hope Christopher doesn't get immunity. :fc: He's the sneakiest one in there.

It really irks her big time, she thought she had him sewn up...
And the OP makes no sense he stood up for himself perfectly well and didnt back down, the fact daniella hovered outside wasnt his fault.
It really irks her big time, she thought she had him sewn up...
And the OP makes no sense he stood up for himself perfectly well and didnt back down, the fact daniella hovered outside wasnt his fault.
I really don't think you have read the OP. That is exactly what I am saying - he plays on his anxieties to get sympathy when clearly he can stand up for himself. The fact that his mammy Danniella is always hovering about to rescue him shows that he is taking them in with his wimpy nervous act. Otherwise why would she do it? He's a sneaky one though. He was the most vocal tonight when Gemma wouldn't do the task - after she left the room - and he said nothing to her face. He's not all he seems, that one. He's as sly as they come.
When his Mammy rescues him by throwing open the door and butting her nose in, Gemma sails out and says 'sorted', and Chris skulks out with a hang dog look on his gormless face to show all his other Mammy's out there how awful it was to be in the clutches of big bad Gemma.

..yes because you're a little bit silly.....hmmmm, I didn't quite see that the same way as you did, jet..yes, he can say stuff, he can say stuff behind her back, type thing and even to her face sometimes, so long as other people are there..?..what I found really telling with Gemma was when she said that people were either jealous of her, intimidated by her or (whatever the other thing was..)...so she has very high opinions of herself and up with those very high opinions is that she's aware that she intimidates people, she's ok with it, she does it on purpose, it's one of the things that she uses both to control and to 'bully'...so because of that and because of Chris' anxieties, behind her back, in front of people etc is the only way he can release...when she took him to the bathroom (I think) it was because she knew on a one to one thing, she could intimidate and bully and that she wanted to do that to someone, wanted to 'see them squirm'..pretty darn grim, eh...?...to isolate him from the group so that he would feel full impact of what she had to say and I think, taking pleasure from it, from 'getting him back'...really horrid, really spiteful, really 'bullying'...she uses her 'intimidation', a bully always senses their target and she's fully aware what Chris' weaknesses and anxieties are...I don't think that he uses those anxieties, I think that they're very telling of how much he's struggling and with Gemma in particular....he's having a little bit of courage now and again but only at times when he feels supported by the group because then he feels safe....I mean Gemma has no issues at all with just coming right out with it when she has something to say but very telling this time, that she isolated him to say what she wanted to and then when Daniella came in, just said 'sorted' because her spiteful mission to scare someone was accomplished...yeah Daniella did irritate me a little in snooping about, it was almost comical but I think that she only irritated me because I don't like her in general very much, so (I'm a bit biased and predisposed to be irritated by her..)...but I think with this, it's because she's aware of how scared Chris would be, being pulled away from the group and how bullying and intimidating Gemma's behaviour is...Steph is obviously struggling with it as well, as is John but everyone's different in how they deal with this type of thing, depending on individual personalities etc....Chris' way I think is occasionally to feel safe enough to 'release' because he knows that many of the group feel the same impact she's having but on the whole I think he's terrified and I also think she's taking pleasure in him being terrified, purposefully trying to make him so because she knows that it's not working with the others, so it helps her to think that she still has a sense of control...to me she's the 'stereotypical' Nelson Muntz from The Simpsons, bully character who uses her height, her weight etc to intimidate and Chris atm is the little Millhouse....
...anyways, I can't imagine how awful it must be to have anxieties to the extent Chris has them....
...and yeah, I know we could say/think that if he suffered that much from anxiety, he wouldn't go in the house in the first place but neither would David or Angie if sleep deprivation was going to be an issue and things like that..we often think things like that don't we....well they knew what it would be like so shy go in there..:fist:...or if they weren't going to be able to do all tasks etc..but they do go in though, don't they because money obviously and also for future work etc ..he probably would have given consideration to his anxieties and whether he could cope, but well, also balanced up what the positives could be for him as well....
..I forgive you though jet because you often get a bit silly in your thoughts at least once in a series..*cough, James Jordan*......but apart from these tiny blips, because you know, we're all human, you're otherwise fairly sensible and have great thoughts...
..I wouldn't say that you're odd though, don't be too hard on yourself...
....
