Justin Bieber's recent domination of the charts is bound to spark an influx of copycat male stars as he doesn't have any competition and music labels are thoroughly lacking in originality - is there anyone on your radar who might be a success? Shawn Mendes appears to be getting a label push which is a shame because he appears to be a total personality vacuum, and we have the impending solo One Direction projects coming our way too... anyone else?

It's interesting to see because pop music has mainly been dominated by women for the past few years but now it's mainly males/Adele

Bruno will probably come back with a new album soon too

As far as established male solo artists go, I can only think of Olly Murs, Jason Derulo, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber... am I missing anyone obvious?

Nah, he's a singer-songwriter - he doesn't dance, he isn't a pop star in the same sense. The charts are full of men but they're DJs or rappers or singer-songwriters, they're not 'pop' in the more traditional sense of the word.

Nick Jonas and Bruno Mars are the only established male pop artists artists I can think of that could make a splash. We'll undoubtedly see a lot of studios signing new talents in the hope they'll be the next 'Bieber'.

You don't have to listen to whatever's currently popular in the mainstream.

There's tons and tons of music out there.

Your a free person, you don't have to like what your told to like.

I'm not looking for new music, I'm discussing the dearth of male popstars
