No. I agree there are too many competitions in England but they should get rid of the league cup, if any.

Chelsea fans are clueless. This doesn't surprise me, they've got no knowledge on the history of their club let alone the FA cup

If the FA Cup should go then why not the League Cup first
I rarely go to cup games now. Most of my mates don't either.
They just don't care.

No, the domestic cup structure is fine. It is the Europa League that needs trimming down.

I actually get the impression thst increasinlgly the top EPL clubs prefer the league cup to FA CUP. A good LC run and victory can boost an otherwise mediocre season eg Klopp will try and use the LC final to provide Liverpool with some early silverware to keep fans sweet whilst he gets used to the Premier League.
The league cup final is relatively early in season (February end) so it won't coincide with a possible title run in campaign.

Ever since MU skipped FA CUP for WCC its been undermined by the elite teams as an annoying distraction.

Lol hardly. It lost its appeal with the money in the Premier League and Champions League. Fourth place is of higher importance than the FA Cup to bigger teams.
Amongst other reasons semi finals being played at Wembley made the big occasion of a Wembley final lose its shine and we've had Premier League matches played on FA Cup final day before.

Exactly, decent cup runs against PREMKER League teams with nice away replays wou!d have wiped out or majorly eased the debts of financially struggling skint clubs such as Northampton FC and Bolton FC.

Those are just additional reasons. The rot started with the WCC preference.

The cup was still taken seriously after that. Its lost its appeal for many other reasons rather than United not participating one year. Right now it's a nuisance to teams whereas it wasn't years back. It could probably do with a revamp.

A potential revamp will only be beneficial to Premier League clubs and detrimental to everyone else especially non League teams. I can see the FA getting rid of replays and instead opting for golden goals or penalty shoot out. For a non League/ league 2 side even with debts a decent cup run to at least 4th round against a Premier League/ top Champions side with an away replay can literally keep that side financially solvent for about 3 seasons.
Imagine if a non League side from Ismthmian League got a replay at Old Trafford or Emirates or even Carrow Road. How much money ey the club would make from TV, attendance, merchandise. An FA cup giant-killing/ upset would ensure the team sells out for rest of season. When Wrexham beat Arsenal years ago, not only did the Welsh club climb out of debt they earnt enough money to keep them in the black for about 4 years just from that cup run. The FA CUP is really a tasty reward for lower and non League sides even if they have zero chance of winning.
