It seems to me he's been through the biggest emotional rollercoaster of them all. Being accused of game-playing and manipulating. Being involved in most of the drama, whether it be mediating or being attacked in some way. The whole environment seems to have braught him to a minor mental breakdown from what I can see.
I think he has literally taken in everyone elses feelings and emotions in order to try and process, fix and put people back together. Except that never works in reality. By entertaining peoples negative behaviour you end up being braught down to that level.

Don't like him much but I felt a bit sorry for him last night.
He was given a hard time in the task.....and I felt for him with the Stephanie task. He is obviously at his wits end with the selfish, needy, spoilt brat Steph and that task was just an extension of the very behaviour they have had to endure.
I am sure he felt a bit foolish when he found out it was a task....but he just couldn't laugh it off (and I can't blame him) she's obviously sucked the life out of them.
..I think (and probably a large part because of the crowd boos early on..)..that he really worries when and if he gets stuff wrong in general..he's quite often had a big involvement in incidents that have been perceived badly by the public and through time/boos/and GET ******** OUT/type stuff, the housemates start to realise public opinions...and with this, he would know what the public were seeing, which was a task/funny, which he had really flipped over...(even though most of the housemates are 'I'm done' with Steph by now..)...I think his fear is being hated by the public because of his stay in the house and that for anyone would be an understandable fear..what he's not seeing though is that he's not hated at all and all in all is being perceived by many as a well meaning, quite nice guy...(someone I think who is extremely insecure though in other's opinions of him and actually the very reverse of a 'leader' or an alpha, which is what he first tried to become..)...

I think that he's annoyed because his game plan failed and he's realized that he is not going to win.

I like the fact that John is well liked by people that matter, they can see his heart is in the right place, nice guy, stitched up well by BB, DS seem to like John and have made some very good points about him, nothing false about him and has far more going for him than many of the others.he's done amazingly to get into the final.

Johns reasons for being in there in the first place make him a winner....he wasnt there to find fame or to improve his profile or to bury his past ...he had the most honourable reason of all to be in there and he achieved his goal....of course he is a winner....when measuring people's achievements he has out run Scotty, who has so many fans he didn't have to even try in order to reach the final ....John should feel proud....how ironic the praise and fuss being given to that old bag because of some planned crappy reality show ...when John leaves the house he goes immediately to live theatre to begin a long run in a stage production.... Of course he's a winner....he's an artist and was always a threat to the reality stars because of his talent ..well done John

Yes, I agree and he does deserve to win. However, as has been said, he doesn't need to win as he is already the winner and he won't need to rely on the tabloids and OK magazine for a living when this show finishes. He is very shrewd and what he said to Darren about his experience there was spot on

I like John too, he'd be my second choice for a winner, don't think he has a hope in hell though

I really don't understand the hate for him at all. Yeah he was ONE OF THE PEOPLE who kicked off at Tiffany over the David thing, but he seems to be the only one who is/was blamed for it. Tiffany has got over it, shame others can't. Since then I actually can't think of anything he has done to be as hated as he is?

The Darren nomination is mentioned alot too, he should have just been real and said it was cos he's boring :fan:

Oh yeah, forgot about that, shame Darren hasn't...and never will. On his deathbed in 50 years time or whatever he will still be moaning on about that time in BB when his mate nominated him :D

He has quite literally stood by his decisions and been very open and outspoken with the housemates.
Yes, he has made some very poor judgements - and I feel sad that viewers are taking that as gameplay. It's not. He might be older, and supposedly wiser, but experience/older does not always mean you will get everything right. I honestly think he's been himself and that he has done it his way, voiced what he truly believed was right - but agree he sometimes got it wrong.
Hope he wins.

Thing is, he is the only one being pulled up and got at as to that Stephanie blowing her top task, yet Darren, Daniella and even Tiffany were all condemning it too.
Had it not been a task, a lot more than just John would have been furious with her, full stop.
i have no idea why John is now least likely to win by a large margin
For me he has been involved in everything and just reacted to events in a human way. He is my winner, and I couldn't care less what position he ends the night in (although top 3 would be great  )

He made the final which meant he was there for the whole series, as a viewer that's a victory
