Different strokes for different folks and all that but, in your opinion, what features make a person dull and uninteresting? Bored stiff by naturally reserved people or do you find the more outgoing yet vapid and superficial type more bland?

I'm probably a boring person myself to a lot of people so i never really label other people boring. Even quiet/shy people in general, it's just part of their personality and most people have a trait or a side to them which is interesting.
If i'm being picky then friends with girlfriends/boyfriends who do things all the time and whenever they're free & you want to go out and do something they can never be arsed.. i guess that can be pretty boring.

I turn off in conversations to those who speak for the sake of it. I think the most boring type of person for me would be the stereotypical lads that only talk about "pulling birds" and fitness regimes.
It's more easy to find someone boring who you have nothing in common with though, tbf.
I'm probably boring to some and not to others though, I act different depending on who I feel comfortable with so like I'm like to most quiet/reserved in my class circle whilst the loudest and open with my flatmates/outside friends. With the way I am, it opens me up to not writing off people I meet from the first time so I like to be optimistic and say no one is boring until you've been around them a substantial time and know them properly.

Lack of flavour. People who can't hold up a decent conversation, and when they do it's all in monotone as if they aren't at all interested.
Sense of humour goes a long way too, I make good jokes so if someone doesn't laugh at them, we have a problem :fist:

I think I probably am when I start on politics,no one that really matters to me has ever said I am but I think once I get going I must at times be.
I can very often go on and on and on.
Also,I have really no instant humour,so I would guess that could make me boring, especially I would say to people I don't know too well or at all.
Someone can tell me a joke and I often don't register to it for days.

Aw haha! I bet you can remember them though, someone will tell me an ace joke and I'l think, must tell my lad that, but by the time I get home...no, it's gone! :joker:
I love the theater of football but if someone names their club side as one of the top three features about them ("I'm Steve I have a son also called Steve and my passion is Manchester United") then chances are I'll find them a balls out drag to be around. I 'ent been proven wrong on it yet either. Absolute drips.

I tend to find most people interesting.
I think I tend to get bored hanging around overly dramatic and fussy people quite quickly, I do also get bored of people that just try to interrupt you every time that you try to speak (yes this has happened to me on multiple occasions) oh and people that take jokes the wrong way all of the time piss me off badly.

....hmmmm, see I don't think that 'going on and on' as you say is boring necessarily Joey, it's not for me about how much someone may talk about one particular thing/'what makes a person boring' or disengaging from that person because OMG, again etc...it's the person themselves and how they engage and hold interest/if that makes sense...I could find a specific thing really interesting/something that I really want to learn more about/converse more about etc...but still lose interest in pursuing that conversation because of lots of and various reasons of how that person 'has presented their passion/knowledge', I guess you could say..both talking and listening being part of engaging.../and the flip of feeling as though I had no interest at all in something/a specific thing but then finding myself totally absorbed because that person has absorbed me in their passion and knowledge...they've made me 'feel it' as well....and for me, that's the thing with you, that your passion/experiences etc are felt because of how you present them,
/whether I agree with stuff or not, I'm never bored and always interested because of you yourself and a quantity of words, whether it be a few or a many, isn't something that factors in...so you carry on going on and on....and on...and on as much as you like....
EDIT:...I know someone whose interest and passion is lawn-mowers and when he starts talking about them, he makes them seem like the most fascinating things ever and I just want to know more and more .....actually I'm not sure that I ever find anyone boring as such in the true definition...

My lack of interest in them. Generally.
pretty much this really, it's all pretty subjective, which is good really
I was on a flight recently where the fella sitting behind us spoke all the way from Edinburgh to Brussels to a complete stranger about his bike in a monotonous tone. Felt really sorry for the stranger tbh but eventually we were silently laughing/crying

It really depends, if your involved in a conversation and if you want to fall asleep then they are probably boring, i dont nessicerily know if it is a certain type of people, its just who they are. Personally im a boring person because im shy and awkward but im a completely different person online
