Swedish Media have said that the captain of the 125 metre Tellus saw a object fall from the bridge but thought it was a huge chunk of snow and preceded to run over the British Group and their manager.

Stockholm authorities believe the group would not have survived the initial plunge into the Sodertalje canal.
The Swedish Accident Investigation Board is probing the crash, but has not been helped by CCTV cameras next to the bridge failing to record the plunge.

Police official Hans Brandt said: “Our information is that there is no really clear film from this.

“It will be from a distance and does not show exactly how the sequence of events happened.”

Investigators will probe whether the unidentified driver of the car was under the influence of drink or drugs, or if the car had a fault.
