..I could only read a small part when I clicked on/it was enough, it didn't serve any purpose for me to read any further, the same with Ian Watkins..I didn't read any of the reports from court...I could never feel happy about the death of anyone, no matter who or what... but I have no feeling that he's dead...

I'm glad that this man is no longer alive and will never be a danger to anyone else. I find it difficult to find anything that I'd start cheering about in the story, though, and certainly nothing "funny" or amusing... I'd rather a man like that had never existed in the first place. I dunno. Feels a bit distasteful.

Oh, I was not cheering at his deeds -just his demise. He has ALREADY commited his evil and there is nothing which I or anyone else can do about it except express our anger and revulsion - something I personally have already done - but I do not hold that bastards as evil and vile as this should ever be allowed to consume food or oxygen or live in relative comfort for the rest of his natural life, so hearing of his 'early' death is why I was celebrating.

I have heard all the arguments that a 'lifetime' behind bars punishes these inhuman scum more than Capital Punishment would, but that is B.S. to me, because that is an 'ordinary' person's viewpoint based on THEIR perception of what they would prefer, but these subhuman monsters are NOT ordinary in any sense, and they adapt to a 'lifetime' behind bars so readily.

They have good food, warmth, clean clothes and bedding, a lot of freedom, and a lot of leisure pastimes and recreation, and they even form sexual relationships with other inmates - so no kind of REAL punishment then really.

Nor is those long years filled with any type of remorse for their crimes with most of these bastards, so sparing them a 'Judicial Death Sentence' and imposing 'Life' is definitely not invoking a greater punishment - in my opinion anyway.

Peter Sutcliffe is living testament to the above.

So - I will make no apologies for celebrating whenever one of these bastards is found dead in his cell - and I do not care if it was 'natural' or other causes.

That's not what I mean Kirk, like I said I'm not sad this man is dead and gone, the world is a better place for it. I guess, I just think it's more appropriate to express that without merriment, given the nature of his crimes. He's already committed this crime and hearing that he'd died a thousand times over still wouldn't make the story any less horrific. There is no justice for a crime like this.
