You've been out of the Big Brother Canada house for just over a month now, what do you make of that whole experience when reflecting on it?

Wow, it was so incredibly different to all the other Big Brother experiences that I've had in the UK. It was actually for me, a lot harder in there.

You got an amazing response and standing ovation from the audience when you left the house, how have you found the Canadian fans?

Oh my God. I absolutely love Canada. The fans have been a complete dream and afterwards I went on tour and did public appearances. I just absolutely loved every city. I went to Regina, Saskatchewan, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Fredericton - I loved Fredericton. I felt like I was on holiday and honestly, we went shopping in Edmonton to White Avenue and I absolutely love it.

It was so bizarre for me, because I've been in this house, I've been locked away from society for three months, and I have people sitting outside in a pub garden calling my name and asking to have photos. It just felt like I had friends while I was on holiday. You know when you go on holiday, you don't expect to know anyone. It felt so bizarre but, everyone was so lovely, I just wanted to live in Canada. I didn't want to leave.

Who are you keeping in touch with from the Big Brother Canada cast?

Pretty much every single one of them except for Maddy. Complete and utter bitter poison.

Would you play Big Brother Canada again?

Yeah, but I would be so much more prepared for it. I would go in with a gameplan because I think it's impossible to do that show without a gameplan, and I'm very naive. I trusted far too many people. Tim is a complete expert at this. Cassandra played a blinder.

To be honest I haven't watched it, because I know I'm gonna find it so upsetting. I haven't watched the one from last year that I did in the UK as a guest, but I watched the Ultimate one and the first one. I can't bring myself to watch this Canadian one because, I'd rather leave the show loving them all, rather than watching it and knowing what they said, and feeling bitter. No one's said anything I've heard, but a lot of them have gone away and watched it, and I think some of them are struggling still to come to terms with what people have said, and it's caused a lot of ruptions.

Have you been keeping up with the new series of Big Brother UK?

Oh my God, yeah, it's been wild. They've chosen some incredible housemates. I mean, my favourite two were the twins and I'm really upset that Victoria actually left, because they were probably my favourites to win. I love Georgina, Alex is just dreamy. I like Lateysha, she's so funny.

I don't like Laura. I think Laura needs to go. I know she was on a show called Young, Free and Single. It should be called Young, Free and Easy. She's just a trollop, I'm sorry.

You're at the Big Brother US premiere party next week, are you excited for that?

I am! I just cannot wait to see Loveita, Cassandra and Joel. I'm so excited to see them. I've been speaking to all of them, but I Facetimed Joel and Cassandra Facetimed me the other day, and we just picked up where we left off. I just love those guys so much. I miss the Brothers, I know I called them idiotic, but I do love those boys.

Your book Fragile has really seen a surge since your time on Big Brother Canada - what's it been like sharing your story with a new audience?

Oh my God, I can't believe it. It's sold out. Everyone was asking me for a copy and I was like, 'Sorry, there's none!' It's done really well and I'm so happy what I went through for all those years has actually paid off. It's helping so many sufferers out there. I've heard recently that the rise in male eating disorders has gone up 30%. It's so, so sad and the fact that my book's out there and it's helping loads of people, it just makes it so worthwhile for me.

Finally what have you got coming up in the next few weeks?

I think we're doing a meet and greet when we get to New York which is gonna be exciting to meet some Americans! Then I've got my YouTube channel which I'm promoting at the moment, of my tour around Canada. I'm gonna be doing BOTS (Big Brother's Bit On The Side) quite a bit, I think my first appearance is on July 1. Then I'm back to Canada for a tour around the end of July. So, I've got a pretty busy summer, then I'm not sure what's happening with pantomime this year, but I think it's on the cards.
