A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl was killed in a house fire when she was left alone by her mother, who was out working as a stripper.

The terrified little girl hid under her bed as the flat was consumed in flames — and firefighters didn’t even know she was there after they doused the blaze at 7:30 a.m on Tuesday.

They discovered little Kalenah Muldrow’s body only when her 20-year-old mother, Leila Aquino, returned home and notified police that her baby had been upstairs, sources said.

I don't place as much emphasis on the job the mother did as the sun appear to

Poor little mite

Firefighters could have saved her too but she was hiding under a bed scared and they didn't know she was there :(

What a tragic tale.
Poor little bairn, what an absolute nightmare for her.
I have to say, I do feel sorry for her young mother, her loss will haunt her for life.
Of course she was wrong to leave her home alone, but perhaps she didn't feel she had a choice:shrug:

I honestly wish I had never seen this this morning. I cannot get the vision out of my head of a crying terrified kid hiding from fire under their bed and noone coming :S

I know, especially when you have a kid of a similar age too. Is James two now?

July

I can't imagine leaving him alone for 5 mins for ANYTHING. Hell, I don't even like it if we go out and Gavs 13 year old wants to stay in on his computer, though we do let him if its only gunna be an hour or so

I think at 13 you have to start giving them bits of independence, it's hard to let go though, Luke is 11 and I still see him as a baby haha, probably cos he's the baby of the family though so I'll probably always see him like that
