I am torn between The Revenant and Spotlight

I loved the Revenant and Tom Hardy, Will Poulter and Leo were all fantastic but I do agree with those that say it is a bit unrealistic in part - I loved the movie though and it is beautiful and even the CGI Bear is fantastic.

Spotlight was AMAZING though, I almost cried multiple times and the fact it's a true story is outstanding. I thought it was shot wonderfully and the director managed to bring out some fantastic performances.

Mad Max: Fury Road was great, too and it's nice to see it getting recognition but idk it's not as great on rewatch tbh

Southpaw was robbed of a nomination too

I've not seen any, but I'd be surprised if The Revenant doesn't win, it's a big odds on favourite.

Gonzalez-inarritu will defo win best director
Di Caprio wins best actor, no contest there
Brie Larson is sure to win best actress
Spotlight will win best screenplay

So the big five Oscars are already won with no suspense.

Room or Revenant. Spotlight is an acceptable winner too.

Room is the only one I've seen, so that by default.
