It was a high powered weapon so probably a high powered revolver. A man said it sounded like a machine gun but I very much doubt it is.
Gangs with guns have been a nightmare in certain parts of London for a long time. My partner got caught up in a drive-by shooting about ten years ago in Brixton.
Poor guy and his poor family.

Terrifying DR poor guy :(
He was actually cuffed on the side by what turned out to be a rubber bullet. Fortunately it was winter and although he wasn't fortunate enough to be wearing kevlar he did have several layers of thick padding. Even so, he ended up in, what he later described as mind numbing pain and I've never seen bruising like it.

I was going to say it's more likely that it was multiple handguns being fired in quick succession, or at most there's an outside chance of it being a cheap assault rifle like an AK47. There being roving gangs of thugs with actual machine guns seems quite unlikely... more likely the witness who heard it doesn't actually know what a machine gun is / the difference between a machine gun and an assault rifle.

Crikey I didn't envisage he was hit, I thought you meant he was a witness!
Bet it didn't feel rubber when it hit :(

Oliver Tetlow a young man in his 20's (who died from bullets)
was in the wrong place, at the wrong time.
Or the gang thought it was someone else.
12 empty bullet shells
One "video" showed a gang (no faces shown)
showing Solid Gold watches
and Gold chains
Police say it maybe a gang fight over that.
