They are entitled to a Family holiday and if they can get one of their choosing fair enough,I do not begrudge them that.
How nice it would be if he set out to ensure that all citizens of the UK had such an opportunity to have a break somewhere from their routines too however.
Being PM is a tough job,he does have the right to some time for himself and his family.

That is not the point though, he is encouraging Britons to spend their holidays in Cumbria, York and other flood hit areas as their income has been hit and people have not been booking, but doesn't lead by example, so it's basically do as I say but not as I do, I don't care where he holidays and naturally like anyone else he deserves a break but don't preach to others what they should do if not prepared to do it yourself.

He spends a lot of time in Cornwall.
Hardly the time to holiday in Cumbria at the minute, flood clearance isn't finished yet..and it is far too cold for a holiday for at least another month or two,
We have frozen in April in Cumbria before today.

Easter traditionally starts the holiday season in the UK though, some businesses that were hit are open for business but people are under the impression that is not the case, the PM spending even a few days there would have boosted bookings without doubt because people can be very easily led :umm2:

ersonally he prefers Ibiza or the more exclusive beaches of Cornwall. But David Cameron may come under pressure to head to Scarborough or Southport for his Easter break, after he launched an initiative urging Britons to take their holidays in the north of England.
The prime minister said the funding package was aimed at helping tourism in the region get back on its feet after the devastating floods that have hit homes and businesses since late last year.

It will include £2m to repair damaged infrastructure in the Lake District national park, one of Britain’s major tourist areas, and £1m for a PR campaign to persuade families to visit the north during the Easter school holidays.
“From York Minster to Honister mine, Carlisle Castle to the Leeds Royal Armouries, the north has some of the most iconic tourist attractions the UK has to offer,” Cameron said during a visit to Cumbria and Lancashire to see repairs being carried out. “So it is absolutely right that we do everything we can to make sure these businesses feel supported and ready to receive visitors.
“The measures we’ve announced today are an important step, showcasing the best the region’s tourist industry has to offer while helping one of its key attractions in the Lake District national park get back on its feet.”
But Downing Street would not say whether Cameron, who is never known to have holidayed in the north of England during his time in office, would be personally taking a break there.

I don't really care where Politicians and even PMs go as to holidays.
David Cameron may have been foolish to try to direct others to go to flood affected areas when not intending to do so himself.
I do agree with Cherie as to that.
However I do think everyone should be able to decide the place for themselves to go on a break or holiday.
So really, I am not bothered where Cameron or Corbyn go to be honest.
