the Semi-Finals thread, which of our 8 semi-finalists become the final 4?



i must say, you can predict nothing, and i am neutral, now that my favourite Lauren was eliminated, really not deserved to be eliminated, i'm still gutted for that :bawling: :(



my semi final 8 would've been, so i'm really disappointed in the public :( :(

i really am still gutted for Lauren, she certainly has potential to become a good singer, hopefully a good vocal coach has noticed her during the voice

Spot on my friend as to who got through,impressive.

I wasn't surprised Paloma has no one in the final, she sent her real best acts home in my view.

It was to be fair in my view, a really good show tonight to watch.

Based on technical rather than my personal preferences for people like Heather who needed a bit of The Lumineers or Florence And The Machine.

Cody's not the best vocalist on the show, but when she does Rock songs nobody can touch her imo.

And Lydia is ****, I don't go on about her as much as Nicky does though because she didn't get favoured over my favourite like what happened to Nicky91's Lauren.

I think it depends on how much you like Rock Music when it comes to Cody's performance.

Cody was better this week than last week imo, Cody is not a Pop singer so this week was a step in the right direction imo.

And no matter what anyone thinks of Rock Music, Cody definitely outsung Lydia by a billion miles, and she outsung Lyrickal too who just sounded really bad this week.

Heather tried to recreate her brilliant performance last week which wasn't wise.

A shame though as she has a vocal that I really like on these singing shows.

It was nice to have an overweight girl on the show who was looking more likely to do a Birdy song than a Shirley Bassey song.

Agreed, Lydia is taking on the one of the best Rockers that I've seen in awhile on the UK singing shows while she's one of the worst Diva acts I've ever seen (with the exception of Sam Bailey and Louisa Johnson) but still my point stands.

Imo Heather should've gone through for having my own personal favourite vocal and the unusual song choices that she was getting for herself, and Cody for the best genre, best performer, and for doing a Fleetwood Mac song.:dance:

My opinion on Kevin is that he has a good voice and he did do well this week, however this is the first week that I've connected with one of his performances.

And Jolan does too much helium singing rather than proper singing imo, but tbf he made it work somehow with Purple Rain vocally, he does need to become a better performer though because singing is a performance art so he should be able to act his role out in these songs which his failed every time to do that.

He's been my favourite for a while now, i loved his performance in the semi final although I have to say, I liked Codys best this week. I was really happy with the finalists, I would have chosen those exact 4 if it were up to me, I'd rank the performances :

1 - Cody - totally blew me away, would actually be something I'd listen to by choice myself at home
2 - Jolan - I just love his voice, I can't really explain why I prefer it to Kevins which is probably as good
3 - Lydia - Not really the type of thing I would ever listen to but she can sing not doubt about that
4 - Kevin - Again flawless performance but it's nothing I'd ever buy or choose to listen to
5 -Lyrikal - Good but not great
6 - Vangelis - Not one of his best but it wasn't bad
7 - Heather - Her voice is just not for me, alot of parts made me wince a bit
8 - Jordan - Terrible performance, terrible song choice, she's too hit and miss
