Don't you dab it on with your finger?

If its wiping off through normal every day wear then you probably need a stronger brand, a studio one, MAC maybe. I'd invest in a make up sponge too, using your finger could leave weird smudges.

You obviously don't want anything heavy as your a guy but it sounds like you need a little powder to set it After you've applied so maybe try translucent powder on top?

If it goes on fairly wet or liquidy at first... let it dry on your skin a little bit and then blend in... you can just use fingers... I do... I find using makeup sponges takes off more then it leaves behind

also... concealer isn't meant to be used alone... generally... because it rarely matches your skin tone... usually it will be yellower in colour for say bags under the eyes... or lighter then your skin colour to disguise blemishes. So a follow up press on power or powder foundation is usually used to blend properly

If you're using concealer on spots then dont use your fingers, use a brush or sponge just specifically for that and wash it afterwards otherwise your going to spread them.

I would dab slightly with a sponge, if you have the proper concealer for your skin type then it won't be noticeable but will still conceal your blemish the way it should.

Make up is far too much effort tbh Tom, get a tinted moisturiser, this is the one I use and it works really well
