At least Raign made it in America!

Lostie!

I had no idea about Raign getting any recognition overseas until her cover of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" was used in the Season 2 finale of The 100. I didn't even know it was her but I loved it so I looked it up and found out. It's brilliant tbf.

I'd hardly call the season 2 finale of The 100, "recognition in America". :fan:

If your sole definition of recognition is being an A-Lister then I'm sure you wouldn't. As it happens, that's not what I was referring to. :)

If her songs are being played in the season finale of well received TV shows she is being recognised, nobody said she was going to get an oscar out of it but I'm sure she and her management were very happy.

Either way Raign is being better received than Cheryl in the US.

Well Raign is more current than Cheryl 'guess-who-i'm-dating-today' Cole

Who mentioned Oscars?

Also, Cheryl was well received in the US too, most of them not understanding why she vanished from the X Factor panel.

Well you insinuated she wasn't being well received despite the fact she has had many of her songs featured in TV shows in the US. I used the oscar comparison as it's considered the pinnacle of success to be awarded one.

Americans couldn't even understand Cheryl haha

Well we're talking about music so maybe a Grammy comparison would be more fitting?

Anyway, all kinds of songs, well known and obscure are used in TV shows was my point. Doesn't really point to "recognition".

Americans couldn't even understand Cheryl haha

That was the "party line" when she was fired but not actually true haha

The CW have clearly recognised her though as they use her songs in their highest rated TV shows - if her music was trash they wouldn't risk putting it in their most profitable shows.

Bates Motel only got 1.5 million viewers in it's latest season - does that mean everyone involved in that show is trash and unrecognisable too?

I'll just let you "win" this 'argument', if you could even call it that, since it's clearly pointless and I don't even know what point you're even making

Okay listen ****er, I said "any recognition" (like, even on a limited scale), not huge nationwide A-list recognition. She got some, that was my point so stop twisting the context. :fist:
