[Police are "extremely concerned" for the safety
of a "vulnerable" 14-year-old girl who has
been missing for nine days.
Officers are trying to find Jade Lynch,
from St Helens on Merseyside, who has not
been seen since Saturday 26 March.
She left her home in Denton Green Lane at 1pm that day,
heading for St Helens town centre with her two younger brothers.
Jade said to her siblings she was going to meet someone and they parted
company in the Duke Street area of the town, where she was last seen.]

Why no phone on her?
Any under age kid needs a phone for safety
these days
"It is thought she does not to have access to any cash or a mobile phone."

Maybe she broke it or left it at home so they know she doesn't have one with her.
...she left her phone at home apparently..that's quite odd as well, that she would go out without it...she (and her siblings..)..are also foster children, living in St Helens atm...which is another reason for her vulnerability....

If she's a foster child could be that she went back to see her family?

Maybe she was unhappy in her foster home and didn't care? Maybe she was running away?

Doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong though, she's a 14 year old who's obviously had a difficult time to say she needed to be placed with a foster family, she may just not feel anything for her foster family or may not have felt at home there

Great news that she is safe, I hope she has a good social worker that will get to the reason she disappeared with no word for over a week, foster homes are not always safe havens
..14yrs old as well can also be a very confusing/emotional/hormonal age and she may have either wanted to be with her parent(s) or previous foster carer if she had become attached, wherever she was previously as she had only recently moved to this foster home I believe...it may have even been school friendships or other friendships she was missing...

I appreciate what you are saying Ammi, it might be a very simple reason that she went missing, I would like to think if she were with a responsible adult they would have encouraged her to let her foster parents know where she was, so the police didn't have to get involved, I just hope we have moved on from delivering run away kids back to where they went missing from without asking questions

..this is why I wonder if it was anything to do with her natural parent(s), which the police would be involved in and also explain the appeal from her sister..obviously I'm just speculating/musing Cherie but she was away a long time before it was reported on media so that seems odd to me as well...hopefully she'll get all the social support she needs now in her foster care/also from her siblings...

Probably didn't "abduct" her tbh, he's probably just a 19 year old perv who got involved with a younger teenager girl, and (being of that sort of age) she may well have gone willingly.
It would however probably be considered "abduction" by the authorities, as a 19 year old is an adult and a 14 year old is a child, so whether he physically took her against her will or simply talked her into leaving with him, it's still an abduction. Not in the "traditional" sense, though.
That said, in these cases it quite often turns out that the younger person has claimed to be 16. Murky waters, really.
