Mississippi get overlooked for how backwards they are in the US because Texas and Louisiana are bigger States so get noticed more around the world.

But Mississippi themselves have been this way inclined for a very long time, and I think it was Mississippi where I read that one of their Schools teaches Adam & Eve in Science instead of Evolution.
