There's no way a show that always casts ~character~ roles is going to allow that to be disrupted and left up to chance with a competition. An All Stars vote, however, perhaps. And it's not a two-night premiere and it's a two hour show - they could introduce them all on the first night (doing it live) and have a 24 hour vote to send 16 or whatever in on the Thursday.

The jury is actually out on an All Stars season for me. I've wanted to watch one in real time ever since I (almost) finished watching all the seasons, but the more I think about it now...the more I think the cast wouldn't at this point be All Stars worthy. I mean - and people can pretend to disagree all they wish - but objectively speaking, a cast without the likes of Will, Dan, Rachel, Derrick, Jeff and Jordan is either not All Stars worthy or certainly not one that Grodner and co are going to consider either, and I don't even like all of those people I just named. Over half of those have had or are having a child soon, that automatically rules them out, and some will expect a hefty fee to even consider an offer.

The problem is here is that 'All Stars 3' just sounds unlikely, perhaps it's better to have a true all-out, best of the best, big name All Stars season for the final one - whenever that may be? If you waste it now on fodder you're making it more unlikely down the line.

That said, I would totally be up for some kind of Fans vs Favourites theme so you can get some vets whom probably wouldn't qualify for an AS but are entertaining and loved enough already, perhaps that's a better compromise for the time being. I don't know, as I said...the jury is still out on this one for me :think:

They're advertising for applicants to BB18 on the website so I assume its maybe another BB13 deal. I want a strictly veteran season though if they are going to do All Stars properly - maybe in the winter if they want to make it a kinda secret.

All of the true 'All Star' candidates are either pregnant, the partner of someone pregnant, getting married or have just taken a big job. The more I think about it, the less I think it's All Stars because if that's what they call it and BBUS' biggest names don't turn up, it's going to look pretty pathetic

At this point I think they'd be better off saving All Stars 2 for BB20 and having the best of the best (Dan vs Will at last, Rachel, Derrick etc etc) then. In the meantime it might be better to have another mixed season, maybe Fans vs Favorites or Second Chances or something? That way you can still get big characters/people that were liked but whom probably wouldn't be All Stars worthy

I doubt it because you have to pay for the feeds for US. If I remember, last season it would ask for you to type in your CBS Password. The Candian feeds are free so easier for BBviewer to get by.

I feel like Battle of the Block is gonna be established into the show as an every season thing just like HOH & veto.

The main reason why I wouldn't blame them is that BotB means a lot more than have-not comps for the Sunday episodes. They can also put the post-nominations stuff on the Sunday episode rather than having a full hour of only pre-noms game talk.

I'd prefer to be wrong but eh I won't be bothered if it returns. As long as they get rid of it early again.

Hopefully they cast more people similar to BB6 for that matter (whether I love them or hate them). Unless it's All Stars II then sure I wouldn't mind some BB6ers back, even the crappy ones.

Two different lists of vets being floated around atm, the first was posted by Corner Office and corroborated by a few others that it's coaches again and they are Derrick, Vanessa, Ian and Audrey

However Jordan Parhar is now claiming that his source (he know someone who works for production) is saying it's not coaches but the returnees are Frank, Nicole, Da'Vonne and James (BB17). A new Corner Office Twitter account emerged, backtracking and agreeing

That seems like a joke to me. :joker: The only good/entertaining option is Da'Vonne and I mean she was a second boot so would they really bring her back for a coach's season? I gotta doubt this rumor.

Not only is it really soon since BB14 but it would be kinda embarrassing compared to the coaches they brought back last time.

Derrick/Vanessa/Ian/Audrey might be possible but still idk about that. I wouldn't be much of a fan of that lineup coming back either.

I imagine some people may have been told to tweet certain things by production to throw us off. Britney didn't tweet regularly back when I used to followed her, so I don't think social media should be used as an indicator as to whether people are on the show.

I definitely can not be bothered with Janelle playing for a fourth time. I wouldn't mind seeing people like Audrey and Da'Vonne but I wish it were a second chance season instead of coaches (I suppose fans vs favourites would justifiable).

So something has been bothering me. Something is bizarre about this entire cast reveal. Let me break it down a little bit to the only scenario that makes sense in my head.

Let us look at the strangeness of it all.

1. There is the awkward premiere times. A two hour episode followed by a one hour episode, that seems very strange, why do we need that much time on night one, even if we are breaking the house into two groups we still don’t need two hours to introduce 6-8 houseguests.

2. The whole 12 cast with four empty spots. Why? Let’s say that it is four returnees, that does’t seem likely that they will just throw random returnees in without a twist, last time they did this cast layout was coaches but the four rumored returnees don’t seem to be of coaches caliber. With Da’Vonne leaving on week two. Seems unlikely that it will be coaches but why throw in four random returnees?

3. A lot of Big Brother vets have been SUPER sketchy on social media. Libra’s twitter went private, Kathy Hillis tweeted for the first time in years then deleted her tweet. Amber hasn’t tweeted in DAYS and she is constant tweeter. It all seems fishy.

4. CBS seems to be to be trying to rebrand Big Brother. We stuck with the same logo for 15 seasons, then got a new one and are ditching it after two years of use? Why? CBS also created a lot more hubbub around this cast reveal, from releasing the cast early online to putting the cast on snapchat to postponing it (even if that was out of respect for Orlando) to adding in TWO siblings of former HG’s. It all seems like CBS wants to pay more attention to this cast preseason! It was even released a few days earlier than usual. And their were only cast interviews with Jeff and they were prerecorded.

5. There is the rumor going around that this was originally supposed to be a Newbies vs Vets season but the idea was scrapped at the last second and four more newbies were added. Okay but why not just round out the cast to 16? If you wanted to ditch the Newbies vs Vets idea why not ditch it entirely?

MY THEORY IS… They didn’t ditch this idea at all but instead worked it into an even more shocking twist. Okay so here is what I think, I think that the reason that there are only 12 of the houseguests currently because there are going to be 12 more! But this time they are all going to be Vets who deserve a second chance, which would include Da’Vonne, Nicole, Frank, and James, and could go as far as including Libra, Amber, and Kathy. But the thing is that they won’t all be staying! And THAT is why there is a two hour premiere the first night! We are going to meet all 24 houseguests and what takes up the most time on an episode of Big Brother? A competition. There will still only be 16 HG’s in the house and their will be a competition to and the first 8 newbies and the first 8 vets to win the competition will get to stay in the house for the summer! This would explain why the cast reveal was early and the interviews were prerecorded so they could get them in the house earlier to do this challenge before the game officially started with the 16 people! Then the second night they will have the competition for the first HoH (and if BotB comes back (which lets hope not) they will have a Vet HoH and a Newbie HoH but that is neither here nor there). What better way for the show to kick off a new rebranding after several lack luster seasons than to have the AUDIENCE have to expect the unexpected along with the houseguests! To me this makes the most sense because there is just a lot of fishy stuff going on and this is the only way it adds up to me.

Big Brother US has proven to be an unorganised show in the past. They dropped the BB Takeover twist after the third(?) week, for example. I wouldn't put it past producers to randomly keep those four just because they want to.
