The problem is that a lot of the Pop Music lately is just the same song over and over again, it's either a Dance track or a Love Ballad, not everybody wants to hear those sounds all of the time.
And also Streaming has killed sales completely I feel as a lot of people don't like the fact that it can get an artist to number 1 who didn't actually sell the most copies, which in effect kills that prestige of getting to number 1.
In particular Justin Bieber has made a habit out of not selling the most physical copies in this country yet still getting to number 1 and that's a big Canadian star, so just imagine how many times it's happened with the "one hit wonders?"
