For me it's a 3 horse race between Stoke's Butland, Man U's Rashford and Spurs Dele Alli. There have been other great youngsters like Man u's left backs Borthwick Jackson and early season pre leg break Luke Shaw was their best player before Rashford emerged. Arsenal's Iwobi and a couple of kids at Bournemouth, but really those 3 are front runners.

Maybe it's the Dele Alli effect , but I've noticed top clubs now seeking out young players on transfer market whereas the trend had been " ready made" 25 year old+ players.

Alli, Lukaku, Coutinho, Barkley, Kane, Butland

They are the nominees.

Alli is odds on favourite to win it

Alli 1/7
Kane 9/2
Lukaku 25/1
Barkley 33/1
Coutinho 40/1

And Mahrez is odds on 2/5 favourite for player of the year, with Vardy 3/1 second favourite.

Alli for this, Mahrez for the main one.
