A UNHCR spokesman
said some people were saved


Around 41 survived

maybe the max was 300?

I doubt many media outlets will feature this as there is no appetite for a story of this nature anymore. Yes that is callous but that does not make it untrue

Terrible, it was on the BBC news yesterday, but they could not confirm what the survivors/witnesses said.
If it is the same situation, they said that the smugglers transferred 200 of so onto an already overfilled boat with 300 or more on board.
Absolute tragedy.
